Al Biruni

Bible is a ferry tells which even does not carry any moral massage like Panch tantra stories. So do not give the example of Bible though that is used popularly.

As if Hindu scripture is any better.

The most famous Muslim scientists/ philosophers/ Astronomers/ Chemists/ Mathematicians, Doctors, Poets etc were all Persian/ Iranian. From Hafiz to Romi to Firdausi, Khwarizmi, Bokhari to Razi, Avicenna to a dozen others. All Iranians, and household personalities in Iran today. No need to blow our trumpet here but this is a fact. Qoran's first tafseer and the compilation of all Hadees were done by Persians. So was the Moghal empire in India, backed by Persia. All the Royals in the courts were Persian aristocrats. Everyone in Moghal empire spoke Persian. The architects of almost all Moghal monuments were Iranian architects, including the Taj Mahal. The Greeks and Romans took a lot of this knowledge to Europe.

Now I guess its fashionable to associate the Muslim world with this too.....lol

Hon Sir,
(Since I know the meaning of your name, I dare not address you as such)

You are mostly right, undoubtedly a very large number of Muslim scholars of note were from the regions of Iran & Khurasan. However, it would be unfair to ignore other notable Muslim scholars who were ethnically Arab/ non-Iranian. For example,

Abu Yusuf al-Kindi (801 -873) was a noted philosopher, mathematician & physician of his time.

Ibn Al Haytham ( 965 – 1040 AD) was an exceptionally gifted scientist. His book 'Kitaab al - manazir' is still recognised as an outstanding work on Optics.

Ali Ibn Hazm (994-1064) was another gifted philosopher, historian, jurist and poet born in Cordoba of Arab descent.

Ibn Rushd, also known as Averroes (1126- 1198 AD) was an outstanding philosopher, astronomer and theologian of his time. His commentaries on Aristotle are very highly thought of.

Ibn Battuta (1304-1377 AD) was a traveller and explorer par excellence. He visited most of the Islamic and many non-Islamic lands over a 30 year period.

Ibn Khaldun (1332 -1406) an Arab from North Africa is a highly respected historian and considered as a forerunner of the modern historiography.
