Akinic Drone of Turkey gets its first export order

Hmm ... and now this sate is denied: (via sequ/SDF) :what:

The news is absolutely true, no doubt about it. There is an official statement.

When this news first came out, reasonable suspicions were that it was Ukraine; because even Baykar alone has 2 JVs formed with its Ukrainian partners, and there is an ever-deepening cooperation. I don't want to go into too much detail, but for example, the first foreign assembly line of Baykar tactical products is in Ukraine. In a broader perspective, there are at least 10 strategic cooperation agreements signed between Ukraine and Turkey in the field of aviation&defense.

These agreements are factors that provide both the mutual technology transfer, the technical legal infrastructure preparations for the joint project initiative and the current momentum of the increasingly deepening relationship for the opening of mutual import channels. This legal ground provided the emergence of bilateral relations and initiatives between companies/institutions such Aselsan-Antonov, TAI-MotorSich-Antonov, Baykar-Ivchenko, Spetechno-Aselsan-Roketsan, Ukroboronprom-Roketsan etc. For such reasons, the idea that the unnamed country was Ukraine came to the fore.

Due to the AKINCI system, system design and mission profiles, the ammunition family developed for this system, and the concept and doctrinal design of the system as a whole; If Turkey is exporting this system, it can be expected to have a close strategic relationship with this operator country, or to be a developed country with already highly advanced air force capabilities.

I don't want to speculate here, but when we look at the origin of think-tanks or academical works that are most interested in Turkey's new generation strategic class UAVs, we can get an idea about alternative possibilities.

Gotta say this Akinci drone looks very cool. Best looking MALE drone of this "type".

If Pakistan purchases them they will most likely be stored away in museums. Will never be used in operations.
