oscar is BANG ON with what he suggests
NOT ONLY will PAF shrink in nos bit so will 90% of all air forces globally.
MULTI ROLE platforms ensure you require fewer fighters capable of carrying multiple tasks with much bigger punch..
RAF today has 350 fighters YET in 1980 THEY HAD 450+
JFT THUNDER was designed in concept to replace PAF mirage fleet which is very large at 150+
PAF F7 & F7PG despite carrying the MIG21 heritage in design and concept is actually a relative new air frame in comparison to russian or indian built MIG21s . They are too new to replace SOME are less than 10 years old.
OSCAR also correct FC20 & J10 is not a DONE DEAL merely specul;ation.
PAF will take decade to induct 150 thunders ESPECIALLY if the next batch of 50 or 100 are upgraded first. to MK2
GOING BACK TO THE THREAD bar THE JFT THE FC20 is the most likely new addition in PAF CANNOT SEE anything else looking at things politically & financially
possibly MORE F16s if PAF can take the USA sanction risk away by improving relations from today
