What will be the replacements of Mirage -3 EL/DP/OD/Rose, Mirage 5, F7PG and F16 (older) ?

Apart from Jf17 and J10 are there any additional a/c platforms PAF is looking to procure?

What time frame is estimated to recieve newer platforms/ decommission older platforms?

Are there any Transport platforms in future procurement plans?

the F-16's of all types will number between 75 to 80.
After that.. if funds permit.. the Fc-20 to be procured in unknown numbers.

Our transport requirements are met for now, nothing over the horizon....

Cash... plain and simple.

Although the numbers of the F-16 and JF-17 are within plans..and a more advanced, leaner harder hitting force will be formed.
the Fc-20 is still in limbo...nothing concrete.

Transports are sufficient for now with the C-130's ..possible may be augmented by more Cn-235s.

I have read that PAF will look to procure 250 JF-17 in total, did they drop their number down to 150 for financial reasons or did they just find something better on the market? I only ask this because other poster also claimed they will procure 150. Or is 250 JF-17 the final goal?

I though Musharraf already ordered 36 FC-20 aircraft which will be delivered by 2014.

What else would he have done ? The Chinese forced him to sit down in J10's cockpit at gun point and sign the agreement

I don't think tht, all the F7Pgs will going to retire in comming 10 years , same goes for some mirrages too!
Well surly pakistan can't get any spares & supplies from US at any form of conflict with india or Nato so F-16 will remain the same quantity in comming 10 years or so!
JFT is a growing project in the meantime , with J-10z which is sure thing even its numbers are still in question , while J-16z are closly looked at prospect for PAF!
Dependence on westrn flybies will going to be lessen. In future for paf, with more & more chinese & russian platfroms is a realistic approch.
Transport & AWACs also be shopped from china & russia , with softloans , specially when both china & russia are looking america & its allies gathering in asia pasific?
& both been felt threaten by US!
Numbers of aircraft will increse in PAF in comming. 10 years any how, it will not going to reduce at all .
