What's new

AIR MARSHAL AHMER SHEHZAD LEGHARI APPOINTED AS VICE CHIEF OF THE AIR STAFF (VCAS), PAF

Don't know, what you have in your mind when you state this sentence.... but surely when air operation is underway, Airforce can't and shouldn't be dictated by ground based individuals on maximum allowed number of (hostile) jets to be shoot and that too right in the moment of heat!
So now what i deduce from your disclosure, if we had different CnC of Pak armed forces, outcome of 27th February would have been different.
Although, nation miss Modi style public permission to Pak armed forces from IK, which made the whole situation confusing.
Now taking this discussion further, you probably remember the statements of ACM from the occasion of 6th September 2019.... where he stated something (without naming any one) ''next time he may fail to obey orders relating to not shooting down hostile fighter jets'' This was the basis of the idea that Airforce was being micromanaged from out side Airforce, hence all the quest to know the name of master mind!
The air boss was controlling the entire fight (from the backseat of a Viper that managed a claim on an IAF aircraft) laid from the best scenario accepted by the political leadership of the country, ACE has the credit for bringing up what happened on Feb 27th. Final orders and modifications for the events of Feb 27th came in from the commander in chief.

This part is known, it was HP right? 'Final orders' as you may call it, were issued moments before missile could hit the indian ammu dump and after jets in air had lock on Indian SU, and than they were told not to shoot Indians and as per your revelation, CnC was wired, who refused permission when he learned Indians are locked and have zero escape possibility.

Nope HP does not have a flight physical to fly and he was not in the jet that managed a claim. Locks on multiple Sukhois and Mirages. That's the max I am allowed to say. Anything more will be out of disrespect to the people who gave me info.

He’s going to retire soon

He is great. And I wish he became the actual one. Him or Jawad Saeed. But it is going to be Paracha for CAS.
Paracha all the way

You may know something which isn't out yet. But I think Paracha sb is very junior for this race. My personal vote would be for Javad Saeed. He was an impeccible officer as a DCS O. He would be an ideal choice for CAS!

Haseeb and Javad are besties anyway. They have had a pretty interesting tenure as sqn cmdr's and flt cmdrs. Their 1 vs 1 in F-16s used to be very brutal too!
Javed saeed and paracha both are coursemates so If paracha is way junior so is javad saeed

Yup. To many's chagrin it will be Paracha, still he's decent to do the job from what I've heard.

Yes , Parcha is good
Btw I don’t understand why ahmar shahzad is retained while asim zaheer is being retired as both are of same GDP course
Maybe leghari did a splendid work as Chairman PAC and is rewarded!

Vice Air Chief only stays on for a year and a half. Same GD(P) course number at that level doesn't matter. Same was said about Sohail Gul Khan who we all thought and most actually wanted to be the next air chief, but then Sohail Aman got selected despite being junior in rank.

He did a good job like any other PAC chairman before him. Laghari and Saeed were both one of the lucky few who flew Vipers at Kamra with 14 back in the day. The selection criteria for sending guys to No. 14 on F-16s that they had to be toppers generally as all rounders.
