For me Pakistan should approach US for these. And remember they are not scraping it because they are old but to reduce their burden....

^^^Yeah they are making space for there fifth gen f22 and JSF, and obviously too many aircrafts requires a lot of men power for maintenance

IIRC, Pakistan was initially offered the A-10s and instead, they decided to go for the F-16s. A big blunder I say, considering their present need for cheap & effective strikes against the taliban. A-10s are awesome for CAS, not a dog fighter though. You will be surprised at the maneuverability of these flying guns!
Those older gen F-16s and F-15s wont stand a fair chance against many of the newer aircraft in the subcontinent.

Huh, these F15 and F16A's are still a serious deterrent especially when it comes to subcontinent. Its not like IAF and PAF's entire inventories are composed of 4.5 Generation Aircrafts. Let these aircrafts get structural upgrades and new avionics and they are as good as new. The only reason why they are being retired from USAF is because they have the budget too. When you have a defence budget of $700 billion, you can afford to arm your AirForce with all modern and fancy equipment. They have hundreds of F14, F15 and F16's retired that are stored collecting dust, if you add all those planes up they are better than most AirForces.

"One man's junk is another man's gold". These airplanes might be junk for the US but i am sure there are many other countries who would love to get their hands on these birds. F15A and F16A still to this day pose a serious threat to any 4.5 Generation Aircraft, because technically there is no single 4.5 Generation aircraft that holds complete dominance over the other.
