Clearly he's flying with the No. 9 Squadron (Griffins), but he's still wearing the Patch for the No. 11 (Arrows) on his Right Arm.

I'm asking because in this pic he was wearing the Patch for the Arrows, even though he was flying with the Griffins.

But then again, maybe you're right & he did decide to go up to get a closer look at LoC for himself.

Maybe because he was once OC of No 11 squadron....if you notice, he often supports a Mirage patch as well.

Yes... the suspicion as it is. Many of them especially Bhakts have understood the game ball and are expecting some kind of terrorist attack on the mainland or in Kashmir or a bit of conflict with Pakistan to divert attention.

Because he was OC 11 squadron when he was a wing commander.

This is an old tried and tested by the Indians both on LOC and LAC, while on LAC they ended up being treated like a football, on LOC, they had to create stories of some bogey man called BAT that enters on the Indian side of LOC and plays Dr Frankeistien. Now they will have to do something more dramatic to again fool their public.....and will get another surprise.
