Introduction:

It has become near evident that AI is going to play its part in the future. Especially for a field like Defense, aspects like Machine Learning, Deep Learning are going to play a major part. These aspects are majorly going to be used in aggressive battlefield incidents where an effective attack plan or Geo-Position advantage will be the results of highly advanced mathematical calculations. But, within the realm of socio-military duty, especially considering the case of Pakistan, Should the future AI asset be univariate battlefield specified or multi-variate civil-military concerning. That is where the clinical Psychology starts to play.

In the last century, the evidence of the equality of opportunity reigning supreme over the equality of outcome has become a well-known fact. Equality of opportunity directly refers to a physical commodity that has reached the top of hierarchy due to aspects like competence and intelligence. So, while the idea may be far-fetched and it seems to be pushing the boundaries of existing technological boom. It is certainly backed by the idea of challenging the existing boundaries. “An idea where a defense asset can work as a weapon and a substance of service” concerning the times of the hour. Under the normal situations, the potential asset should work as a civil service object, and the opposite side of the mirror should be that it converts itself as a military utility which is its primary role and primary design.

However, the psychological part is where the machine blurs the line of mech-human difference and converts itself into a well-known term known as “Transformers”. It has become common knowledge that information is a major component, if not the main component of the future war and Information aspect not only covers the enemy’s intel and possession, but the potential of within itself as well. The Defense assets should be fed with the information of its area but also the people within the span of time. It should also attain the naturally gifted individual traits of the group of individuals.

“Our intelligence is what makes us human, and AI is an extension of that quality.” (Yann Lecun, Founder of Convolutional Nets).

The founding fathers of the clinical psychology like Friedrich Nietzsche and Carl Gustav Jung have greatly expressed the brilliance of the individual and how it can play outstanding role into forming a society. If the natural traits could be put into action within the critical needs of the hour. It should be able to manifest itself for the betterment of the situation and eventually, for the betterment of Pakistan.

Naturally, there will be obvious difficulties. With the primary difficulty labelling it to a very complex problem that is hard to get implemented, let alone have proficiency in it. However, the answer resides in the psychology itself which has made us achieve unbelievable amount if success stories which were also considered to be only part of a dream once as well. The success rate in achieving the impossible scenarios have folded multiple times within the span of last decades and it is continuing to grow with the advent of modern technology. Many difficulties can be faced towards the humanization of machines. But the future prospects of Deep Learning and Machine Learning such as complex Neural Network are making ever so progress as well.

The implementation of a humanized robot that can work as a military asset and a potential utility driven psychologist can have revolutionary effects. It will enable us to get an inter-harmony experience, where the robots and humans might exist in the future.

“The successful among us delay gratification. The successful among us bargain with the future.” (Jordan B. Peterson, 12 rules of Life: An Anti-dote to Chaos,2018)

It will allow us to get a grasp on the multi-variate repercussions that might occur due to high technology overtaking rate. But it will allow us to have a highest degree compact defense with the best utilization of abilities, which will eventually benefit the Pakistan defense and ultimately Pakistan itself.

Quantom , Deep Learning and Space Are 3 main fields which will change next century.
Pakistan for some reason has been ignoring these field.

Nice writeup!

I always had this thought - Pakistan needs to grown economically at an accelerated rate in order to catch up with developed economies. We cannot do that by following their footsteps. We need to predict where the technology trends are headed and shoot straight into the future. We don't need an industrial revolution, or an IT powerbase. We need to go where the future is headed.

The future is AI, robotics and automation. This can be only be accomplished with a well planned, coordinated effort at the federal level lead by someone with the right vision. Work with training institutions to disperse practical vocational training to get our youth interested in and have the necessary tools and knowledge available to invent our future. In tandem, setup partnerships with companies across the globe to facilitate remote jobs for these fresh inventors. Within 5 years, you have a budding industry. Setup advanced higher level educational institutions to cater to those ready to fully commit to these programs. In another 5 years, Pakistan is on the map exporting high quality future tech professionals, and in-house technologies.

PAF has set up a Centre for AI. Other initiatives also going on AI.
