Pakistanis are changing now and realizing the mistake we made in adopting foreign influences which clearly contradicted our way of life.

I see some small number of elite English educated Pakistani's saying that. Do the uneducated villagers in Pakistan feel that? Are they ready to say 'We dont care about other arab countries now because we care first for Pakistan'.

An example of such change in thinking would mean they be willing to say 'lets make relations with Israel because its not our fight its the Arab's fight and even they trade with Israel'.

Im sorry, until Pakistani's stop trying to be more Muslim than the Arab Caliph, nothing will change.

On Ahmadis: Even the educated and rational minds agree that by not accepting core Islamic principles, Ahmadis have taken an exit from Islam. There has been no debate in Muslim society about this.

The point is why does the State of Pakistan have to decide who is Muslim and who is not. The purpose of creating Pakistan was that the laws be made such as which were in accordance with the Islamic way of life. You have those laws such as they are.
Where does deciding who is Muslim and who is not fit in with this. Let them think they are Martians or Muslims or Scientologists for all the government should care.

This kind of behaviour is what shows the bigotry pervading Pakistani laws. This is what they are protesting against.

The point is who the hell Mirza Mahmood ( Promised Son of their Prophet and 2nd caliphi of their religion) was to decide that all Non Ahmedies "even though they may not have heard the name of Mirza Ghulam Ahmed" are Kuffar and outside the pale of Islam??

Actually, you'd be surprised to know that a lot of people from rural areas of Pakistan are either Sufi-oriented or Barelvis or even Shias. None of these groups identify with Salafism. KPK's rurals are an exception (they are the reason for two Eids in Pakistan ).

Regards to Israel, there is a negative sentiment towards it and for a valid reason. Most Pakistanis feel for the loss of the Palestinians (my views are slightly different though).

It's not the State deciding who is Muslim and who is not. The majority of the people take exception to Ahmadis claiming to be Muslim while denouncing its fundamental beliefs and the State has only acted on behalf of the people.
How would Hindus look at someone claiming to be Krishna reincarnate ?? Or the Christians at someone who claims to have been born of a virgin ??

But again, this should be no reason for bias against them or for their decision to boycott the elections. Staying away will further complicate things for them. Better to have a voice than none at all.

Every Pakistani has PTI to look up to. Musharraf's ideology pales in comparison to PTI's policy on equality for everyone.

Why not accept it and move on,instead of being the drama queens.

If they are religious minorities, I thought Pakistan allowed religious minorities the right to preach their religion. Then why are ahmadis not allowed to preach? It seems they are truly singled out for particularly harsh treatment.

In any case if their concern is security, nobody can blame them.
