What's new

Agni-V to be tested twice this year, could be inducted by 2015

The pipe and the attachment are not part of the canister and looks like it is used to attach the canister to the ladder like structure .

This canister is different from any other canister I have seen . No strengthening rings which is seen in almost all other canisters

It says 'shaurya' in Hindi

Well I don't find any rings even on the canister of BrahMos Block-II LACM either -

.
Read somewhere that some systems also use pressurised air/gas to eject missile out of canister .

Here is another video showing the cold launch .Video is of a failed S300 launch . Missile gets ejected out but the rocket engine does not fire .

A5 is being developed as caniterised road/rail mobile missile .

It is rumored as the A5 canister.

Here is the K15 canister . It also does not have those equipment boxes , ducts on the outside and strengthening rings of metal .

I was referring to ICBM canisters.

Oh please. Idiots running around the place screaming Agni-V is not an ICBM.

A5 is capable of 6,500kms in it's present form.

Pl read latest Agni V thread. It says that its range is over 7000 KM.

In fact Agni V can reach 12000 KM with 700 KG war head. Agni III can reach 5500 KM with 1500 KG war head & with a single TN device it can reach 11,200 KM.
