Ok,How many missiles in agni series.6th is the Last one or are more in pipeline.

till now A6 is in pipeline. As of now we don't hv enemy beyond that range so no need for more long range missile.

well total 6 missiles are planned and 3 of them have been inducted while 2 are in testing and last one in development. 1 short range(700-1250 KM), 3 medium range(2000-5000 KM), and 2 ICBMs(5500-8000 KM).

But they were saying that next test will be a canister launch Agni. So fekus once again failed to comply with their promise.

Agni VI is at least 4 years away. So do we have to wait for test for 4 to 6 years and wait for induction of MARV and MIRV for a decade?

A 6 will be over 10K KM range with a decent payload. A3 And A5 can hit 10K KM with couple of TN device. A3 is 4500 KM with 2.5 ton load as per wiki.

Well even if Agni-6 would be 10k km range still govt would never disclose it officially and rather call it a 6000+,8000KM+ range ICBM, just like we know that Agni-5 range is 5000+KM in official language(which I believ that it could be around 8000KM).

No man basic mirv will start testing from agni-5 onwards itself..
Maybe the more advanced marv wiil be only tested from agni-6
