TPP is not good for US in economic terms, but good in strategic terms. With US withdrawing from TPP, US risk loosing its leadership position in Asia Pacific, but will save jobs in US.

I, too, think it's too late. There was a chance when Obama got his first term. But he was the puppet of the empire oligarchy.
