After Lahore, lawyers in Karachi threaten doctors

Following the attack on the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) in Lahore, lawyers in Karachi issued threats to doctors on Saturday.

In a video that was circulated in the media, lawyers can be seen hurling threats at doctors in Karachi.

“We support what the lawyers did in Lahore, we will do the same,” the lawyers can be heard saying in the video.

“Lawyers across the country are united, this country was built by lawyers not doctors,” they said.

Singling out the doctors of Jinnah Hospital, Karachi, the lawyers said that they would not spare them and teach them a lesson if they chose to act against them.

It is worth mentioning here that on Wednesday, at least three patients lost their lives and several others were injured after a mob of disgruntled lawyers stormed the Punjab Institute of Cardiology, ransacked the hospital wards and operation theatres and tortured the staff and visitors.

Almost 25 doctors were injured and Punjab Information Minister Fayyazul Hassan Chohan was also attacked by the lawyers.

don't need to kill them, we need catch and suspend the license of those who are acting all crazy . and Arrests those who are threatening other people or using violence .

being lawyer is very respectable profession in western world and also according to Islamic teachings as they solve problems of oppressed people in society but in Pakistan they are defaming this profession through corruption and poor conduct.

Sorry, but bad - possibly worst experience of my life dealing with Insurance Companies.

Trust me their are lots of issues with this industry but it's a $ 5 Trillion market -- a lot of industries/nations foundations built around it -- helping absorb costs and such. But the way some policies are written its like a swerved road with exclusions and things -- lots of times designed to decline claims. I have been sued a few times due to denials and such, I walk into court like a boss, Lol.
