New Delhi: After insulting the Indian tricolour, former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti raised doubts on Indian Army's response to China’s Galwan Valley intrusion saying “if you have strength show it to China”.
Talking to the media Mufti targeted the Narendra Modi-led BJP government saying they don't have the courage to speak in front of China.
“Beijing captured 1000 sq ft area of Indian land and killed 20 jawans, but they can't even say a word against China. China is building infrastructure there. Construction of barracks is going on but no minister has the courage to speak against China,” she added.
'China building infra but no minister has the courage to speak about it'

Mufti’s statement comes after she said that J&K should act as a bridge of peace between India, Pakistan and China.
Speaking to reporters, the former J&K chief minister said that J&K should act as a ‘bridge of peace’ between India and its neighbouring countries. She further said it was late father Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s dream of making J&K as a bridge between New Delhi, Islamabad and Beijing which needs to be fulfilled.

Mufti sparked a controversy saying she would not take the Tricolour in her hand unless her party is allowed to raise the flag of Jammu and Kashmir also. The BJP slammed Mufti for her seditious statement with Union Minister Jitendra Singh saying Kashmir's so-called politicians are more dangerous than separatists.
'If you have strength show it to China'

After her statement, three senior leaders from PDP resigned in protest against her controversial remark.
Mufti has been appointed as the vice president of the Gupkar Alliance while Farooq Abdullah has been appointed as the president.
The People's Alliance for Gupkar Declaration has been formed to fight for the restoration of J&K's special status.

What will speaking about it achieve?

India won't get back the lost land.

It is like spanking oneself in front of the world.

Modi's policy of staying silent is the best way to deal with it.

Problem is, Modi has not remained silent.

It was absolutely the best and great statement that he made.

I fully support him on that stand.

It makes him look like a great statesman and India as a peaceful country.

But you know it was a blatant lie right?

But you know it was a blatant lie right?

Will Pakistan celebrate the loss of East Pakistan in 1971?

No one would highlight their failures.

The best way is to remain silent and move on.

What is the point in talking? I do not see any reason why we should talk about it.

We don't deny that 71 never happen.

Why lie? He is not silent rather blatantly lying. Worse , you Indians know about it and don't take him to task.

This is treason. You lost the territory and PM does not even talk about this.

When IAF lost on on 27th Feb, Modi defended IAF by saying If IAF had Rafales, the result would have been different.

When 20 Indian Army personnel died in Galwan, Modi said that Indian Army fought bravely and PLA too had causalities.

What else can a PM do? He is not personally fighting and losing the battles.

The best thing he can do is remain silent or manage the failures to keep up the morale of the military and the people.

I think Modi is a good orator and has done exceptionally well.

Why are you guys always after him? Did he steal your cookie or what?

How is it a treason and why should we talk about it?

We will talk when we win. Until then we will remain silent.

Your PM publically saying that India didn't lose its territory, there was not intrusion (without naming China), yet everyone knows that 1200 sq KM was lost to PLA, and you Indians do not see the problem with that?

Guy is blatantly lying, misinforming your public, yet world know what happened Laddakh. Do you know how much it effects your standing at the world stage? It makes you look like a banana republic.

Will Modi accepting that we lost 1000s of sqkms of land to China publicly make India look strong? The answer is No.

Yes, we know we lost the land to China but what can we do about it?

Modi is doing a great job in managing the failure and keeping the morale our soldiers and our people high even in this loss.

No it doesn't, it actually make it look worse. A country losing such a large chunk of territory without firing a single bullet in defence, while its government is not even acknowledging the failure and looking the other way, not giving the course of action to its nation to retrieve the lost lands, its more of a case of fait accompli accepted by the whole state and its institutions. What is India credibility left in front of its global partners who were banking on India to be bulwark against China?

Who cares about global standing BS.

Here people don't have jobs and are dying due to lack of food and money.

We are not interested in fighting a useless war with China or Pakistan.
