New Delhi: After a strong opposition from Himanchal chief ministerVirbhadra Singhover conducting the high-profile clash of theICC World T20between India and Pakistan at Dharamsala,AAPparty also joined the chorus on Saturday to oppose the BCCI’s move.
Match between the arch-rivals, which is scheduled to take place on March 19, is possibly the biggest clash of the coveted tournament.
But the dark clouds of uncertainty are still continue to overshadow over the match.
As per the report in The Indian Express, AAP asserted that it was opposed to the match even elsewhere in the country. Interacting with media persons, state convenor of the party Dr Rajan Sushant said, the match with Pakistan will hurt the sentiments of all the martyrs’ families whether those belonging to Pathankot airbase attack, Pampore or Kargil war.
Our party’s stand is very clear. India should play cricket with only friendly nations and not those who were supporting terrorism or sending trained militants to attack India and claim lives of jawans guarding the borders. Has Prime Minister Narendra Modi forgotten his own words to claim 10 heads for one soldier killed by the Pakistanis?” he asked.
