After "Cloud Cover", PM Fact-Checked On "1987-88 Digital Camera" Comment

Bulletin boards did exist on micro-net in the 80's and PC's were already there running on windows as the graphical interface. However, Commodore 64 wasn't able to display graphics as it had a simple 40 character display.

Photos could have been digitized with a scanner although they were only available at select venues.

The modems I believe were running at 9600 bauds/sec already by 1988 if I remember correctly.

This explains the USA side of the equation..

In India they were most likely still trying to figure out the modalities of defecation.

did you tried try to camouflage it in clouds?

Off topic and pure troll as always.

However, let me point you towards reading up on RADAR 'returns' and Cumulonimbus clouds. Further, to enhance your knowledge, you may want to speak to those in your forces, who have experience of Battlefield Surveillance Radars and the impact of mist/fog on their capabilities.

Clearly they don't want Facts to disturb their rare chance at mocking Modi.

I guess we should allow them this small mercy. I have been too hard on them.

I do not know who is being mocked here. I am the wisest man in the world - my perception. Does that make me one?

Commodore 64 was famous for email and taking digital pictures, I was working for an IT company which had contracts with US embassy and I frequent to US embassy in Karachi, never heard of email and never ever someone mentioned a digital camera.

I really do not know what you meant here, slightly confused. If you could clarify.

But Commodore SX 64 was purchased by us from US and used in India. My analogy was to present the point that we had computers in personal capacity coming into India in limited but ever increasing numbers.

The ERNET was quite widespread in civil sector. Its offshoots were also in use. The e-mail that we know as today, of course came in 1996. If you recall, till as late as 1999, you could actually intercept and edit the e-mails in Shell Accounts of others too.

Am severely limited in the technicalities of Computers, but been a user since 1986.

Point was to prod people to get out of the habit of trolling. It takes hardly sometime to understand that memo and mail services of 80s over a geographical location are e-mail for those who are not into the field.
