america sustained the war and bank rolled the ANA for 10 years which has almost left the americans bankrupt , india does not have the same financial and military strength as the amricans had in 2001 so what can india offer here that the americans could not ?
We in Pakistan know Apu very well … so stop bluffing; india won’t last long in a'stan once the American cover is gone

US is smart enough not to go bankrupt . Its you who feel so . Americans are exploiting whole of AF . We wont give everything for free but we will do help to our afgan brothers as much as we can Look buddy we dont want to rule Afgan , we want to help Afgan so we dont need power and money equal to that of US in 2011

NO one is disputing that the Americans and Russians can supply far more than we can to the Afghans. But they also supply stuff at a price that the current Afghan military cannot afford. Maybe in 5-10 years they can because this is just the beginning stage. US can only subsidize goods upto a limit with its own strains on economy. Russia can to a large extent but they would seek either political hold or material profits in exchange.

Ignore the dude, he's just being sarcastic. You're right. Tejas has to enter our own service and at the planned production rate, we may not be able to export it (it was NEVER meant for export in first place).

But helicopters and artillery rockets among others is something they can easily afford. That's the idea. Right now, Afghanistan needs time to build up its basic infrastructure in military; transport logistics. Once it does that, it can look up to advanced weaponry.

So you will continue sustaining Taliban then? Fine. You do what you see fit but don't cry when we do what we see fit too. You lot remember clearly what happened in your country for a number of days after the last brazen attack on Indian embassy in Afghanistan.
