Lack of funding in economy, education, health and sports is taking its toll. Loss to India in hockey (10-2), losses in Cricket to SL + decimation by India in Asia Cup, then a 61-14 demolition in Kabbadi against India today, and losses to Philippines in Squash, and the fact that for a nation of 240M we have 2 miserable medals to our name in the Asian games is indicative of a nation in massive decline in all spheres of life.

For those wanting to hop on to this as something that has happened because a certain someone is not in power any longer is also misplaced. The decline has been gradual and all encompassing. It matters not who has been at the helm of Pakistan for the past 23 years, they have ALL failed Pakistan (be it mufti or khaki). Perhaps the only upside for this country is that we are so devastatingly pathetic in all walks of life that there is only one way to go which is a crawl back up.

Although since this is Pakistan, even the above bet is off. Losing to Afghanistan is one in a series of lows. This WC too will be a dismal showing. Anyone who buys into the "unpredictable Pakistan" hype needs to realize quality and unpredictability are the absolute opposites. You either have the quality or you don't.

It simply seems nobody in Pakistan knows how to or cares to burn the midnight oil any longer.

We have been ruled by one class and entity throughout our history and they have made sure to destroy and corrupt every fabric of this society.
