Afghan Women Become Pilots

It really nice to see tis development....congrats to te ladies.

slowly but surely afghanistan will one day stand up as an important nation of the region...the change is already visible.

I have played my positve role in my country for many years now. dont wana go into details, but i've done alot on persoanl level, and on the other hand and right now i am sending money to my immediate relatives every month, that is itself a contribution to the economy of my lovely but devastated country. As per going back home in this situation, that is not my plan, but hopefuly if things go back to normal, repatriating back to afghanistan is my sole plan.

Wherever you are you are still doing something good, most of all you are in a position to do even more for your country when the opportunity arises. Which i sincerely believe will happen.
BTW, the internet is a great means for spreading awareness and knowledge. May be you and your fellow countrymen (outside Afghanistan) can set up a system by which you can send educational information back home through this medium. You and other Afghan emigres can translate information and create content (Software) for the program, while organisations in the countries where you live can contribute or sponsor the cost of the equipment (Hardware) back in Afghanistan. Even non-Afghan organisations in UK may be willing to contribute for this. While you and your fellow volunteers can take turns to write-up /compile the content at little or no cost. Sometimes even just a conversation like message for people back in Afghanistan will help them greatly. So it need not be any fancy professional job. Start with the people back home who know you, they will trust you and your intentions. Give it a thought.

We are sending our men and women everywhere for training, they are being sent in iran, pakistan, india, america etc. They wont develope american mindset, they are adults and not children. As per weapons, again, we have to have them from somewhere, pakistan is doing the same thing, you are buying everything from everybody including Americans--i dont see what the problem is.

Sir you may be true but interms of technical stuff yes they aren't adults like Pakistan. We have pros in our army & our demonstrators too go to different countries & not always we get taught!!
Afghanis are starting from a scratch & mind it they will be full impressed by US weapons & in the future they will be buying from them

OK, tell me what is your suggestion then, what should be done. We have to have our female back in air force/army/police etc. if we dont get training outside, then what to do?

Even we have a Pashtu speaking Pilot recently graduated and keeping in mind the cultural norms plus if there's any language barrier she could be of great help in instructing her/them considering the persian speaking Afghanis good in speaking Urdu while the Pashto speaking Afghanis struggling with it.

Every word of you is right; bit I am just pointing out the US hypocrisy in this. I mean look at the Soviet era they too were introducing modernistation but that didn't fit the US interests & they ridiculed it via Talibans. Whole point being that for now its a good thing & then in Soviet era it too was a good thing then why US objected??

i dont know, you can ask the americans and also your own authorities at that time. but as long as present time's concern, we need pilots, the more we get the better.
