AMRITSAR: Completely ignoring Pakistan’s cooperation, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani adopted the tone of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the Heart of Asia Conference today (Sunday).

Speaking at the 6th Heart of Asia ministerial conference in Indian city of Amritsar, Ghani refused to accept Pakistan’s 500 million dollar aid for Afghanistan development and said that they don’t need Pakistan’s help.“We need to identify cross-border terrorism and a fund to combat terrorism. Pakistan has pledged 500 million dollars for Afghanistan’s development, but we don’t need it.

“Use the amount to contain terrorism in your country,” he said. Ashraf Ghani said that Afghanistan faces severe security threats due to which there is a dire need to focus on durable peace and stability.“Heart of Asia is meeting at time of great opportunity in significant threats for Afghanistan for Asia-wide and global implications,” he said. “About 30 terrorist groups, as named by the UN, are trying to establish a base in Afghanistan. The country suffered the highest number of casualties last year. This is unacceptable,” Ghani emphasized. He highlighted the role of the projects and agreements signed among India, Iran and Afghanistan. “Trilateral agreement signed between India, Iran and Afghanistan is major step in transforming Afghanistan from land-lock country to a land-bridge state.

The project of Chabahar Port between the three countries is very important to us for connectivity,” he maintained. “India’s support to Afghanistan aimed at improving people’s life and is transparent with no strings attached. PM Modi, your words assure Afghan people of support of 1.25 billion Indian people. Your assistance will expand historic bond between the two nations,” added Ghani.

3 years ago during the Afghani election he had no chance to win, had it not been for Pak amy who gave him massive amount of donation for his campaign. infact pak army was the biggest donor in his campaign. Add to that this man has studied all his life in top pakistani schools, colleges and universities.

he went on about Pak harbouring terrorists yet he failed to even mention the 3 million afghan refugees pakistan has taken in for the last 30 years giving them free food, free school, medical and jobs. this is what you call a country so ungrateful even Allah doesn't want to help them.

India probably told him they will match that donation or double it if refuses Pak money publicly.

Afghanis would sell their family members for a little bit of money so whats Pakistan to them.This is same Ashraf Ghani that got into office by Pakistan army being the largest donor of his presidential campaign, he promised a pro Pak stance when he was getting money from us but now obviously he has seen a few more dollars from another nation and changed his tone.

no such thing as loyalty in Afghanis, today they are back stabbing pakistan tomorrow it will be India thats the game they play and hence why its been a failed state since forever. They are only good at fighting, once the foreign forces leave they will turn on themselves like they have done in the past, war lords fighting wars province to province, whilst the rest of the country is busy sending heroin and hash all around the world.

You have to understand Afghans have emotional attachment with you guys. They are hurting from this terrorist menace since soviet downfall and are sick and tired of it. They became refugees and stateless and saw their country in ruins.

afghanis have no attachment with their own motherland why would they care for pakistan. Any able bodied afghani just has a mission to leave afghanistan and become a refugee in europe.

Aiding others when you are suffering is a noble effort. You should commend Pakistan for doing so. They do have interests in Afghanistan just like us. A stable Afghanistan is in everyone's interest.

What you are saying is Paksitan is more Powerful then NATO and has guts to confront half of the world in Afghanistan and it is just Pakistan that Taliban with a "single pair of sandles and 50 years old AK47" are not subverted and Paksitan doesn't care for NATO and US in Afghanista by supporting Taliban all in all. WELL DONE i should be proud of such an Army , shouldn't i ? that can stand to the most powerful military and a single superpower on the Earth.Is this what you are implying ?
