Afghan & Iranian soldiers exchange fire on border

Afghan and Iranian military are exchanging fire on the border after Iranian border guards broke into Afghanistan on Tuesday, the local television said on Wednesday.

The Tolo television said Iranian border guards had crossed into Nimruz Province in southwestern Afghanistan and attacked Afghan servicemen.

Tolo also said the Iranians had fired several rockets at the city of Zaranj, the capital of the province, but no victims or damage have been reported.

The afghan soldiers lol, they cant even hold a rifle properly..
The Taliban can hold rifles, did you forget how they killed your diplomats?

Back on topic, I dont know why it happend, but it might have something to do with the drug trafficking and smuglers. I think both countries need to make more efforts to tackle this problem. These isolated incidents shouldnt be an obstackle between the 2 countries.

The Afghan Military is new afresh. There must be a Surge in the Balls to have a War, something not New!

Along with the Taliban, Pakistani and Iranian soldiers are the ones facing the Brunt.

Reminds of some tiny punks gone aggressive in our neighbourhood Bangladeshis

This is proof ever if it is needed that they are american mercenaries in their own country. Why would normal afghans shoot at their own in the neigbourhood. when americans leave this mercenary army will melt away

Afghan are starting to be a pain in the A$$ for its neighbors pala Pakistan ka saath aur aub Iran ka saath ... the US has spoiled them but what will happen when the US leaves perhaps the mullahs will come back in action and its time to go back in time once again to the stone age. Afghan gov and its army needs to be put in check ..to much bs from their side these days.

Pakistan and Iran are getting close, maybe the Afghan's were getting jealous and threw a hissy fit ;)

have you realized how much pain have you been to the others? point one finger to us, and 3 other fingers will be pointed to yourself. This incident as i said is very isolated one, there is not any bad enviroment between the 2 countries right now. We are even benefiting from many things from Iran, as an example they are trying to establish a car making factory in western province of herat(Iran Khodro), that itself is very very benefitial for us, there are other vital things as well that we have been helped and empowered by iran. So the sitution is good. There is a problem of drug, whtich time to time cause problem, but the issue is that we are both victim of these Kasafat(scums).

Rafibhai like I said there is no afghani army to speak of. Karzai is a puppet and these soldiers no more represent afghanistan than does zardari represent afghanistan

Since you are a religious person, you shouldnt go to this ethnic things. Secondly, you contradic yourself, if Tajiks are alot in ANA and tajiks have better relations with iran, then why should they exchange fire? Yes, army is not that professional and thats what you can expect from them for now. And the last thing, not most of the army is tajik.
