Afghan govt wants IAF support to crush Taliban as fighting worsens across the country

Not sure how the Afghan Government thinks the failed Indian Air Force can save it from the Taliban takeover.

If the Afghan Government had not been so corrupt, one would assume that Afghanistan should've one of the most potent air forces in the world by now after the US spent $1 trillion in 20-years in the country. But it has nothing to show for it.

There won't be invasion and there won't be any regional wars.
But you can bet on few IAF jets dropping with Pak missiles up their side. And a repeat of what happened at camp Bastion in Helmand but not as one off but on a regular basis.

There will definitely be an invasion 110% in such scenario.. There could be a regional flare up and the war could expand in the event of a miscalculation.. The reason Pakistan would react would be equal to just handing over Pakistan's key and vacating the entire area.. You see what I mean it will have significiant regional impact for them to just let it slide hence their lives depend on it and it is that important from stragetical point of view and it will be viewed as an attack on Pakistan.. It has already deployed it's regular armed forces along the border.. Pakistan is ready for every possible scenario and will initiate this

The lack of adjacent borders is the biggest hurdle for the IAF to target the Taliban terrorists.
Pakistan will not allow overflight to IAF and i doubt iran wants to be dragged into the Afghanistan conflict by giving access to its airspace.
If the central Asian countries airspace can be used , aerial bombing of the taliban will be good training for the IAF. It can be done with complete deniability.

India has very little to gain and everything to loose by participating in the Afghan war. Access to Pakistani backyard was good while it lasted; it came at almost no cost for the last decade. Now it will be back to the old form of militia support that India was engaged in prior to US invasion.

Only real factor that will make India reconsider is something like an F-35 offer from US. Even then, it would be a monumental task for the ruling gov. to sell the idea to Indian public.

Look dude you are missing the bigger picture here. Pakistani military leadership is not stupid to go on an occupation mission anywhere, nor do we have the funds to do such adventures.
Just think about the logistics involved for such an adventure.
The Indian involvement IF it ever happens (and that is a very big if) will involve only be an air component based most probably in Bagram.
Now to neutralise this threat all Pakistan needs to do is give manpads to the local resistance and rockets to hit the base on a regular interval. You will see the Indians will be running back in no time, probably losing both their honour and much more along the way.

But the Indians although very repulsive aren't stupid either. So I can bet all my savings with you that it's never gonna happen.
