US did not fail. What do they have to lose in Afghanistan. They just rid themselves of a burden and that's not defeat. If something has failed it's Afghan government. They had 20 years to reconstruct their nation, build strong institutions and military but all they did was corruption. They could have countered radical islam ideology with the Afghan nationalism but they failed. So I hav no sympathy for those cowards who fled with money leaving their people at the mercy of talibani terrorists.

I think we should send arms and ammunition worth a billion dollar for now to the northern alliance. The idea is not to allow talibs to form and run government.

US actually spent $300 million per day, every day for 20 years straight. What would $100 million per month would do, it's laughable. Suddenly make Afghans resist or fight Taliban? I hope India is serious and commits any way would love to see their dreams crushed further.
