You do know right , that airlines pay to use other countries airspace ? Pakistan will lose more revenue bcos of India not allowing gulf flights to pass over Pakistan.

Situational update 09 March

Pakistan says it attempted to open one eastbound and one westbound transiting airway through Pakistani airspace between the Muscat and Mumbai FIRs (Notam A0258/19), but reciprocal connectivity was denied by Mumbai FIR (Notam A0357/19). Consequently, Muscat FIR has closed ALPOR to flights intending to transit Pakistan airspace. All relevant Notams reproduced below.


This is what you are losing every day, now the fees will be paid to Iran. Now thats one way of helping Iran without incurring sanctions!

yeah i know overflight pay some money but don't you see our everything is on risk ? a jf-17 cost 30 millions $ and we risk them ? this paksitani loss is real but its not in hundreds of millions dollars . even with closure still airlines using pak airspace for china bound flights . today is 11 and all will be clear today .

But Afghanis are at least good at giving your country the perception(at the minimum) that it has strategic depth. Dont get mad at them just because they've "acted up". As a matter of fact, Afghans have paid a much higher cost than you have for their country being destroyed so YOUR country can feel more secure (vis-a-vis its relations w/ India.

The only govt which didnt accept Pakistan in 1947 and still wont respect Durand line.

True not at country level but lets say conservative estimate of of $200000 per day , for 10 days it works to be $2 million. This revenue in turn will be used to improve air travel infrastructure. Bottom line is that it wont be visible on large scale like dip in foreign reserves of country but will hurt the local industry & ppl. Cost of airtravel will suffer, even in India itself taxes alone make nearly 40-60% of air ticket price bcos taxes goes to maintain & run the infrastructure. Next time you book a air ticket you will know the difference.

its even longer than that...remember, Pakistan's territorial sea water boundary has increased.

so the flights have to go all the way around the new territorial waters to get to india. 4x increase in price and cost of the flight.

Some feel good posts. Your EEZ has nothing to do with flights. EEZ is a soverign right that is you can do fishing, put cables, oil exploration etc... You have no powers on the trade that passes through nor the flights.
