Advanced Mil Mi 24-Hind (Mi-35 Hind E ) in Egypt

New pictures emerged from Lybia showing those helicopters in Libya...Egyptian PDF, went from AWE to DROOLING..
Those helis were bought by the UAE and given to Haftar who is mainly a UAE and Egyptian proxy. Egypt could very easily take them from him any time, which means that since it is available to them in demand, then it is de-facto owned by Egypt.

So in the end, they're right. It is Egyptian.

If Egyptian pilots are training the Libyan ones on a platform..doesn't that indicate that Egypt has the platform? otherwise how can they train others on a system they don't own and hence know nothing about?
possible .... here in Tunisia our pilots already trained on the F16 many years ago ( maybe since 90s ) and other NATO country fighters but still we don't get them

That is good.. maybe so Tunisia can use the UAE's, Jordan's or even Egyptian or Moroccan F-16s if they need it.. or they are needed somewhere..Also the F-16s might be coming..when the money is available or from the US aid..

and our relation with UAE after the revolution not good ... Egypt slightly better but not that good because we are befriend with Turkey as they supported us with many things including 1st batch of Kirpi ( 20 ) was free now we have more then 100 and we buy more then 150 turkish ejder

I think it is more like the needed infrastructure that will cost a lot..otherwise there are some very good used and refurbished/MLU F-16s in the US.. Tunisia can buy up to 36 or more.. it will cost the same price as one new JAS-39..

That is true, but getting them for free compensate for that.. and 24 JAS-39 will cost at least $2.5 billion plus training, infrastructure, spare parts, weapons...etc, it can reach $4 billion easily..

i think money isn't a problem as we buy 12 black hawk with battle hawk kit and spare parts and training and logistic cost us 700 mil usd and our budget for defense is 1 billion because we don't pay at once ... means that we started paying the 700 mil in 2014 now they are still not fully paid yet ... what i think the problem is political will and the terror threat doesn't require fighter jets maybe we will get L39NG 1st which is good cas fighter

Bullshit!

They are trained by pilots from Eastern Europe...

Libyan civil war (2011)

The Libyan Air Force Mi-24s were used by both sides to attack enemy positions during the 2011 Libyan civil war.[56] A number were captured by the rebels, who formed the Free Libyan Air Force together with other captured air assets. During the battle for Benina airport, one Mi-35 (serial number 853), was destroyed on the ground on 23 February 2011. In the same action, serial number 854 was captured by the rebels together with an Mi-14 (serial number 1406).[57][58] Two Mi-35s operating for the pro-Gaddafi Libyan Air Force were destroyed on the ground on 26 March 2011 by French aircraft enforcing the no-fly zone.[59] One Free Libyan Air Force Mi-25D (serial number 854, captured at the beginning of the revolt) violated the no-fly-zone on 9 April 2011 to strike loyalist positions in Ajdabiya. It was shot down by Libyan ground forces during the action. The pilot, Captain Hussein Al-Warfali, died in the crash.[60] The rebels claimed that a number of other Mi-25s were shot down.

I think that the inventory applies to only East Libya which uses them extensively. The West Libya is a lot more secretive. I saw some in Mtiga intl airport last year, and there are definitely some in Misrata.
A good source to look for it in is the UNSC experts report on Libya in 2017. Tells you about all the exports of weapons and refurbishment going on. There is even a story about some guy who tried to order more than 10 billion usd worth of weapons from South Afric, before realising in the later periods of negotiation, that he was a fraud!

Overall, I think that Egypt should stay with Apavhes, as they are not as vulnerable to missiles and MANPADS like the hind.
