Just heard this on Geo TV. I hope the move is widened and this entire haraam law is scrapped.

Ms. Rehman, my head is bowed in shame too.

My head is bowed in shame too.

Shame Shame on all of us Pakistanis for letting this happen in this day and age and not do anything about it.

.
My head is bowed in shame too...I am so sad that there are still some Pakistanis who support this.

.
Cheif Justice has taken a serious notice about this incident!!! lets see what happens next.

.
Nothing would happen because if it does then Swat may turn back to flames. The notable thing in this incident is that her brother was involved meaning that what happened to her happened with the involvement of her family. So if her family has no problem with that, who are we to create such havoc about it. Remember the Sharia law in Swat came with the acceptance of people, people wanted it there so unless and until they choose otherwise, government or other security agencies won't be able to do much about it nor will the CJ.
By the way a good move by Sherry Rehman.

Dude now hold your horses here. Her brother was involved when she was being beaten up for what ever worth it maybe, we are not the ones to be blamed for it. People of SWAT choose this way of life for themselves not us so why should we be in shame. I disagree. Though no one could favor such an act because its haram, and unlawful as these men were her namahram and they cannot touch another women, if she was too be punished first her guilt was to be proven and then this all should have happened inside a place with women doing it not men however what happened seems to be with the consent of her family.

its not only shameful for me but its makes me mad in anger if its continue like this one day we live in stone age like afghans.army ISI gov have to some thing for stop all this.

.
Seen the statements out of this government? They are slightly on the defensive side. They don't want to admit, their peace has failed!

.
I think enough is enough, peace or no peace...they shouldnt let them go like that...I would want pakistan's elite forces take on these militants in swat and finish this mess once and for all...no matter how much time or lives does it takes, ...coz this really is getting ugly...tommorow they'll say a women cant be a speaker of national assembly and target fahmida mirza...

Bloody loosers!!!

What kind of brother would want their flesh and blood sister to go through this out in the streets of Swat?

Swat is not even part of FATA its part of NWFP, one of the four provinces of Pakistan that chose to be part of Pakistan in a referendum in 1947. If the Pakistan government cant control that province then the government is at fault.

Yes I agree that the Government should be blamed. But Why blame 170 Million Pakistani's for all that?

Partially you could blame the majority of Pakistanis for that, or atleast the Pakistanis who have no brains and vote for leaders who are not fit for the job.
I'm deeply ashamed aswell, this Sharia Law is a failure in Swat, it has been given in to demands of those extremists.
What stable and solid government would give in to demands of people who want their own law inside a country which should have only 1 law for all?

This is indeed a good move by Ms. Rehman, as a female, I believe it hurts her even more and it confirms the fact that still alot of women do not have the equal rights that men have in Pakistan.
Who can bring us this change? God knows.
All i'm wondering is, how long will our people tolerate this? When will our people hit the GODDAMN streets and protest AGAINST these Taliban DOGS instead of protesting for Nawaz Sharif against the government or hit the streets for any other corrupt bastard who has brainwashed the mob?
When will our nation voice her opinion and feelings about these lowlive extremist dogs? We need to be united to fight the Taliban, we need to be united to eradicate this f*cked up mindset, if we're not, we're bent on destroying our beautiful nation, or we'll tear it apart because of it.
