ACM at rolling out ceremony of 100th JF17

Probably they followed the same principle of having an IFR probe like how it is installed on Rafales, Mirage 2000s and Hawk 200s.....installing a retractable IFR probe itself adds a lot of weight to the aircraft. And no, it was an engineering design....pilots do not have say in it as PAF test pilots do not have a solid engineering background.

First of all there is no space on the JF17 to install a retractable probe---otherwise there would have been a place for the dedicated IRST.

If the as needed refueller probe an " engineering design "---then it is an extremely poor engineering solution---.

And what RAFALE and Mirage-2000 they have similar type of detachable refueling probes are they also bad solution?o_O
AND KINDLY TELL US IF DETACHABLE PROBE ARE BAD ENGINEERING SOLUTION THAN TELL US WHAT WHAT IS THE GOOD ENGINEERING SOLUTION, IF THERE IS NO SPACE ON JF-17 NOSE CONEo_O :what:

Great news, now we can expect first Block 3 by end of 2018 ..


JF-17 Block Ⅲ project proceeded to the initial design stage at the end of October, a key milestone for the project.

But its canopy is yellow/golden....isn't ?
Which is in also could be seen in few F-16

Nothing special with the uniform..
Coverall is mostly worn when the pilot is operational/posted at an airbase..though also worn by E,A&SD guys as well as airmen.
Blue uniform in worn on Monday.
Mess Kit on gatherings.
Camo(which chief and most people are wearing in the picture) on all other/normal days/posted in offices e.g AHQ



A lot of civilian engineers working with PAC..
I was about to comment on it.And a solitary lady also in the picture. Alhamdolillah we have come a long way.

We have at least 2 platforms attrition to replace, and orders from Myanmar and Nigeria to be built plus the B versions to be manufactured. PAF may also want to have 14-16 planes as well in block 2 configuration for another squadron. Plus there may be some down time in prsparation for block 3.

Even civilians get to wear flightsuits. I worked as a junior flight test engineer and was given 2 sets of coveralls, one was dark blue and the other was olive green. The USMC aviation ground crew personnel also wear coveralls.

No harm with the Refueling rod permanently fixed

The permanent rod adds character to the plane's persona

Certainly the ground engineers also have to really stand up and take a bow , for making it possible. They follow a strict high quality standard procedural approach to turn JF17 from concept to a functional machine.

Countless man hours to , do all the tedious work , the wiring , the electrical systems , the integration and testing involved in such a complex machine.

Not forgetting the folks doing Avionics / Engine integration work

From first JF17 Thunder to 100th , same quality being maintained

The QUALITY has been the most under appreciated aspect so far

With focus shifting towards the Block 3, and AZM project , now the Bar is set high !!!
