Irans nuclear facilities were reportedly struck by a computer worm that plays AC/DCs hit song Thunderstruck repeatedly and at maximum volume.
There has been no confirmation of the attack from Tehran, but the evidence stems from a series of e-mails purporting to be from Irans Atomic Energy Organisation.
An unnamed Iranian scientist e-mailed chief research officer for Finnish Internet security firm F-Secure, Mikko Hypponen, saying that the facilities at Natanz and Fordo, near Qom, were hit by a worm, the Daily Mail reported.
The malware not only disabled the automated network at both sites, but also had an interesting side effect of blaring out the AC/DC music track.
According to the daily, another e-mail made reference to AC/DCs Thunderstruck being played on several workstations in the middle of the night with the volume maxed out.
