what I'm wondering is:
1. Was the movie shot in Afghanistan?
Yes.
2. In Afghanistan, what is the public opinion respectively over Indian and Pakistani people?
(the movie makes Indian and Afghanistani like family, but treat Pakistani equally as Taliban)
Cannot say for myself.
3. Do Afghanistani people hate the Taliban guys to the bone?
(In the movie, they do) I ever learned that in Taliban era,the Afghanistani society had been grimly under control, with no bedlam at all. even thieves didn't often act in fear of the forcible management. it was after being "rescued" by US army that the country fell into disorder.
No, Taliban forced the country into economic ruin, opium etc were cultivated. They spread their own versions of Islam and enforced it. Women were brutally suppressed, etc, etc. Taliban is one pill that Afghanistan does not want again, apart from the extremists there ofcourse, which are aplenty there. There is an extremist culture in those areas nowadays, because of many reasons, like prolonged rule by Taliban, before that teh Russians, etc, etc.
4. Why is the soldier fearing of revealing his identity?
The soldier is Pakistani, and his daugther lives in a poor Afghanistani village close to Pakistan. Pakistan had been assistant to US army against Taliban. I have no question if villagers do hate Taliban, but when villagers strike the two Taliban guy, why is the Pakistani soldier so worried and dare not to get off the jeep? villagers would beat him to death,ok,but why? Does the movie suggest a connection between Pakistan and Taliban?
Ofcourse! Taliban was trained in Pakistan and funded by Americans. Many Pakistani's were motivated to join the religious war as they put it in Afghanistan. It was Pakistan's creation and they obeyed Pakistan for a while, then they grew too big for Pakistan to control. The movie shows that that man was in the Pakistan Army and sent over to Afghanistan to be in Taliban.
Villagers would beat him to death, because they hate Taliban, because Taliban ran the country in a brutal way.
4. How do you think about the soldier's death?
the episode in the end of the movie shows the Pakistani border post shoot at the returning soldier and take his life without any identification.
is the movie trying to put Pakistan into immorality in order to make clear of the war's origin?
It was VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY sad. I would rather have had the dude cross over into Pakistan, but well....
That is because of the diplomatic line of Pakistan, that no Pakistani is among the Taliban, so therefore no Talib could come 'back' to Pakistan, thus they had to shoot him. As the Pakistani border guards talk about it.
