About New Provinces

Many Indians or for the matter many Pakistanis not know about Saraiki people,

but they are a large and idigenous people of Pakistan. Where I come from, Bahawalpur, Pakistan they request their own state of Saraikistan. Being a Punjabi, I don't support their change in the state name, but do find their language to be a very sweet one. A nice, fun fact about Bahawalpur state is that if it were separted from the country, we have such a wealthy state that our currency would be equivalent to the Euro-dollar. We however are staunch supporters of our country Pakistan,and would like all provinces to become succesful. But what can we do when our leaders exploit our resources and lands? I can only pray for a stronger Pakistan.

Provinces needs to be divided into smaller divisions. Divide every province into smaller pieces. Karachi should be made into a province like Shanghai. This will guarantee better law and order and a good way forward to a healthy economy.

Majority of ex-pats I've met have no idea who they are. And Indians are completely clueless, especially when they make remarks about Pakistanis and Indians being similar peoples. Saraiki is a race and language, and the reason that you believe the majority of punjab speaks Saraki is because the people that live in the Multan, Bahawalpur area are Saraiki.

PML-Q submits motion for new province

LAHORE: The PML-Q has submitted a motion in the Punjab Assembly Secretariat to make south Punjab a separate province. The resolution was brought forward by PML-Q leader Chaudhary Zaheeruddin.

PML-Q MPA Seemal Kamran said that a resolution like this has been put forward before, but nobody has allowed it to reach the Presidency.

The PML-Q MPA said that Chaudhary Zaheeruddin’s resolution includes a call for basic administrative rights to make south Punjab a separate province so that there can be an improvement in economic conditions.

I too lived in multan for a couple of years, is a good place, well at least the cantt and ghanta ghar!

its a good idea to create more provinces however before jumping we should consider existing situation ""we have to first of all exterminate these jagirdars , wadera and sardar politicians from the scene these are fundamental and core of problems , urbanites cannot bring in revolutionary change its the rural vote which will change any thing the same fuedals are holding seats in parliament, senate and all bodies , Other wise these selfish self centered indivisuals will only serve their interests and this will not help Pakistanis at all.

Do you think it is good for Pakistan to create new Provinces on ethnic base ?

Those in possession on governments past and present couldn't fix core problems of Pakistan, how does creating new provinces solve problems.

The issue is bread and butter, shelters, electricity, clean water, cheap efficient transport, security, job and so on; these are the issues that need to be ractified.

If there isn't a Seraiki Province, Islamabad will go further in its lustful greed to divide Kashmir further by carving out a new province in GB.
