But pushing the AAP is not really a benefit for the Congress, since they lost even more votes to the AAP out of protest too. If there would have been only Congress and BJP, they might had lost, but not to such a big extend or? And with the big election coming, a small loss in Delhi would be still better wrt PR, that this huge loss they got now don't you think?
Not really sure about this theory.
And that is why there are not many takers of this theory. And i too can't find solid reasons for supporting this thought. Irrespective of the presence of AAP, Congress would have suffered a heavy defeat anyway. The mood among the public was very anti congress and with that rally of Modi Ji in Rohini it just proved to be the icing on the cake. Let me tell you that almost everyone from the middle class background was supporting AAP and to some it came as a surprise that BJP emerged as the single largest party and i find nothing but Modi Ji to be the reason for that. I think wining or losing in Delhi is more symbolic than anything. Being the state housing the PM, a BJP win in Delhi would have surely lead to a Modi environment being formed in each and every corner of the state.
