A100 to Pakistan

its too early to say anything - still under trials/testing

.
Guy's any news on this sys regarding when we will get it?

.
How about loading these rokets with some kind of guidance systems .
I think this could proove a best wepon in the Balochistan terrain and in Bjour or Waziristan operation against the miscreants.

Unless you want the people to curse the army for leveling the whole town; thats the last thing we want dont we...?

Good system though for conventional warfare; with its amazing range. :toast_sign:

I think pakistan is waiting for AR2 300 mm (12-round) multiple launch rocket system :china::pakistan:
China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO) is now marketing the AR2 300 mm (12-round) Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) based on a 8 x 8 cross-country truck chassis. This is understood to already be in service with the People's Liberation Army (PLA) under the local designation of the PHL03 (Type 03) and may entered front line service in 2004/2005.In appearance the AR2 300 mm (12-round) MLRS is very similar to the earlier China Precision Machinery Import and Export Corporation A-100 300 mm (10-round) MLRS which is covered in detail in a separate entry. This in turn is very similar to the Russian Spav 300 mm BM 9A52 (12-round) Smerch which was supplied to China in small numbers. The A100 fires 300 mm rockets with a shorter range than the more recent AR2.Unconfirmed reports have indicated that pakistan has ordered sufficient of these NORINCO AR2 300 mm (12-round) Multiple Launch Rocket Systems for deployment by one regiment
. These would be a counter to the Indian Army deployment of the locally-produced 214 mm (12-round) Pinacha and recently ordered 300 mm Russian Spav 300 mm BM 9A52 (12-round) Smerch systems.

Description

NORINCO AR2 launcher has a four door fully-enclosed air conditioned cab at the front with an additional fully-enclosed crew cab to the immediate rear with the system normally being operated by a crew of four. Mounted at the very rear of the chassis is the 300 mm (12-round) launcher with powered elevation and traverse. When travelling this is traversed to the front and lowered into the horizontal position. The launcher is normally laid onto the target from within the cab but a manual backup sight is fitted as standard and mounted externally on the left side of the launcher. To provide a more stable firing platform two stabilisers are lowered to the ground by remote control with these being situated one either side between the third and fourth roadwheels.AR2 fires at least three types of unguided solid propellant surface-to-surface rocket that are designated BRC3, BRE2 and BRC4.BRC3 rocket is fitted with a cargo type warhead that carries 623 dual purpose anti-personnel/anti-tank bomblets and has a maximum range of 70 km.BRE2 rocket is fitted with a 180 kg high explosive warhead and has a maximum range of 130 km. BRC4 rocket carries 414 dual purpose anti-personnel/anti-tank bomblets and has a maximum range of 130 km. It is believed that other types of warhead are under development as well as ways to make the system more accurate and it is considered possible that the PLA uses 300 mm rockets that have not so far[/FONT]

I know that, i know the place too but i would not go into details and neither should you. Thanks

So we are getting this sys fore sure?

Yes.

.
why dont we go for the box one instead of tube? As it is claimed earlier in the posts that, reloading & maintaince on the box one are easier than the former one, plus it might have more range and GPS system built in by the time it gets up n running-my imagination? just wait for some time and there u go, other side will be licking their wounds ;)

As it is coming with TOT, can any body confirm that the facility being built for in house production do cater for the box system for the future rather then only being a tube one for the present time?

any senior might throw some light on plz

I am afraid that such information is not available right now ,wait for some years as the producing them locally will take time.
