I never expect Vietnam is that beautiful. This is shame that Hong Kong people only know about the beauty of Japan and Korea, but ignore other places that are close to us, like Vietnam in this case.
I'm a fan of Ming dynasty clothing, so sometime I can identify the resemblance of their Royal clothing to our late Ming clothing. Just like the Korean, they copied it and changed it to their unique style.Yes, she is a truly beautiful country. And this video captures the essence of Viet Nam, that tho current political difference lies in present, the breadth and expanse of her history, her shared being and collective sense of self ....is not that different to that of China, Japan, and Korea. Her ancient architectures, so seamlessly bathing in coherence with her natural wonders, sings testament to the shared Confucian link with us all.
Viet Nam is our sister civilization, always have, and ....always will......
nice music
if you have a chance to visit VN, nha-trang is a nice place, where I grew up. beach is great, also sea foods. plenty of good hotels. from cheap to expensive. or small towns like phan thiec, da lac. russian holiday makers love phan thiec. local people or tourism buero call the town sometimes as the Crimea, because it is full of russians in summer.Viet Nam definitely is in my top places to visit. What i also realize , as i have been reading into Vietnamese tourism publications, that Viet Nam also has its own dragon culture. A trait that is shared in China, Korea and Japan, actually.
Despite my harshness against some ultranationalist Viets here, I have been to Vietnam a few times. You are correct, Vietnam is not nearly as bad as one would imagine. Though you can still see that is clearly a developing country in non tourist areas.I never expect Vietnam is that beautiful. actually VN is not well known as a tourist hot spot like malaysia, thailand and singapore. I hope our people working at tourism industry can take one or two lessons from those countries to improve service and quality. or learning from Japan as it has a very good image, in terms of prosperity, modern and safety for instance.Despite my harshness against some ultranationalist Viets here, I have been to Vietnam a few times. Although knowing HK people, it's best that Vietnam is not on the top 3 destination for them as they will drive up the prices of everything there. I know HK people well. Just like the same reason they drove up some Japanese whiskey a few years ago!
In fact this summer my brothers and i are planning on a backpacking trip to China (going to meet up with my cousins in Guangzhou). We might consider stopping by Viet Nam, since the cost from HK to Hanoi is so cheap. Cathay Pacific has direct flights from HK to Saigon, too.
haaaaaaaahahahaaaaa! well then, good to know.
Toi yeu ban , anh yeu em!!
....
Where did you go? Any recommendations? Just need to explore good food places, LOL. My two younger brothers are like water buffaloes, they love to eat. LOL.
Chinatown (Cholon),
Cu chi tunnels--how small were the Vietcong because it's friggin tight down there and I'm only 5'9
Jade temple
daimond plaza in district 1
night clubs, bars, etc

I checked out Da Lat
and some other adult theme places I just can't mention
most of the things I mentioned are in Saigonmmm, thanks buddy, i'm going to probably stick to the urban areas for now (hanoi, saigon, na trang, and if enough time, maybe da lat..we'll see). food is going to be part of my itinerary, lol, want to explore more of some culinary style in viet nam. i do hear they also serve their version of 廣府炒, 大埔麵.
ugh, now i'm hungry.
