Link has already been posted. Read the Jane's link.
The Jane's link is dated august 2017 and the link I posted where iaf is not interested in tejas is november 2017. Your tejas might be better than everything but sorry to burst your bubble your own airforce is not interested in your super duper tejas. They say its a sub standard plane that cant compete with gripen or f16
IAF wants multiple aircraft. After they buy something, they talk crap about it in order to pressure the ministry to buy the next best thing.
After the MKI deal was signed in 2000, they talked crap about it in order to push forward MMRCA program. Even today they are happily talking crap about the MKI.
The LCA production deal has already been signed. So now they can criticize the LCA and get Gripen. After Gripen deal is signed, they will talk crap about Gripen to get Rafale. After Rafale deal is signed, they will talk crap about Rafale and get FGFA. After FGFA is signed, they will talk crap about FGFA and get AMCA signed. And this process repeats.
This is a very old technique. In a year or two, you will see the army will start criticizing the T-90 tank in favour of FRCV. You should follow India's procurement program in detail to understand how this works.
IAF wants India to produce LCA, Gripen and Rafale. With LCA production deal having been cleared, their next target is Gripen.
As I have already explained, it's correct that the LCA is not better than the Gripen/F-16, but the truth is Gripen/F-16 are also not better than LCA. Read post 26.
Anyway--

This article is dated Dec 2017.
So indian airforce is basically unprofessional, spoiled and a sh!tty airforce that is asking for more than it can deal with? Is that what your saying?
That's how forces under democratic countries are. The IAF has to build up public opinion so that the ministry is not under pressure from the public when a lot of money is spent, which is not necessary in military regimes like Pakistan. But what happens in the media stays in the media. That's why IAF says that the LCA is necessary, but on the other hand, they criticize LCA in favour of Gripen.
In France also, the head of the military resigned because the govt reduced the defence budget. But right after the resignation, the French govt increased the defence budget by 40%+. So after all that political drama, people are not in a position to complain when more money is spent on defence than necessary. So now, the military got a massive increase in the budget, the military head came out as a hero, people believe the increased spending is completely justified and the ruling govt is safe from irate voters.
Actual moves happen behind the scene. Like the IAF criticizes LCA, but then sign deals for it anyway. So the only thing that matters is what is actually happening on the ground and not what you are reading in the media. If they praise the LCA, they obviously won't get Gripen.
This is the most pathetic thing i have ever read where you actually discredit your own airforce for a failed project. You claim this is how forces under democratic countries work yet when your own politicians question your forces about surgical strikes you term them as DESHDROHI but over here its okay to critisize your forces ? Lame excuses or plain hypocriscy?
Than you go on to compare a third world country with France and how one resignation increased the defence budget. The only people who need to resign is HAL for their incompetence to produce an aircraft that took forty years and billion of dollars but still no FOC and is running gun trails.
Even more pathetic is your rant about comparing it with pakistans decision going for jf17. Dude WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR A FAILED TEJAS. Stop comparing your failed product with other countries product.
Your airforce was is and will not be interested in tejas because they know the real deal unlike you claiming to be super maneuverable and super stealthy and out of this world payload and strike capability.
If what you say is true and tejas is indeed a super duper plane i dont see anyone buying it not even your own airforce is interested in it. The only reason they have to go through it is because GOI wants to shove it to them to score election points and Made in India bravodo and not to mention corporate india jumping in to make some money.
Forget it. You are too stupid to understand how politics and weapons procurement works.
If the IAF was not interested in the Tejas, they wouldn't have bought it in the first place, genius. Do you think this would have been the first indigenous aircraft the IAF would have rejected? Ever heard of Marut Mk2 and Ajeet?
The IAF never planned to buy LCA Mk1A. Their third order of 83 jets was reserved for LCA Mk2 which was to come after 2027. When they learned how good the Mk1A itself will become, they decided to go for it. Now they are not interested in Mk2.
http://www.ibtimes.co.in/lca-tejas-mk-2-testing-by-2017-drdo-chief-667693
The IAF decides what they buy and what they don't. Nobody can force them to do anything. But I don't expect scrubs from across the border to get that.
Man shut the eff up with your BS and stop qouting indian media links.
Your intial tejas does not even have FOC and your talking about testing later versions. Your the dumbest bharti i have ever seen. You cant even stick to one story and keep changing tracks about your airforce. I am a scrub from across the border and you are nothing but cheap labour!!!
You are too stupid to realise that for Indian news you have to rely on Indian links.
It's funny you don't like Indian links while relying on Indian links.
