A suggestion, your opinion and advice

i want to start a new thread with the name "series of photographs of an event". the reason why i want to start this thread is that the members can post a series photographs taken by them of an interesting event/location they go (e.g. the member based in US if go to yellowstone and take some beautiful pitures there or any other place, i mean the place can be disney land or some exhibition with defence related things or air shows) and then can post those pictures here with the name of the series. for example, i am based in Japan and i have the experience to go and capture the sunset at one of the lakes of mt fuji (a beautiful view with sun setting behind Fuji). so i can post the selected pictures of the full day trip and name it sunset at mt. fuji. another example is climbing Mt. Fuji and so on.

it will help the other members to see the culture and beauty of other countries. since many of the members of this forum are from other countries or based in other countries, i think it will be very fascinating for all of us to see the series of pictures of one event from the eye/camera of other.

i suggest some rules for posting the pictures:

1. these pictures must be taken by the member hemself and not to be copied from the internet or any place else.

2. can these pictures be saved from copying? because may be some of the members do not like them to be copied.

3. it should be preferred that the posted pictures are of the scenaries/event etc only, i mean it is better if the picture is not of a person himself with scenary in the background.

4. the place or name of event must be mentioned with the pictures and if needed described briefly.

i need kind suggestions and advice from administrators and members.

moreover, if there is already a thread available please let me know about it so that i can go there instead of starting a new thread.

one querry, the maximum file size for attaching the pictures is around 90 KB for jpg, if i am not wrong. can we post pictures with bigger file size like some pictures i have are of approx 1MB size. if can not be attached, how can we make the pictures compressed so that they come within the specific range or what other options do we have for posting bigger pictures?

And just a quick response to the point I think you were trying to make - the correct comparison would have been if JS had said something along the lines of 'Indian should have remained a part of the United Kingdom'. That woudl be a statement that went against the very idea of India, and could justifiably be an 'offense' for expulsion from the party.

IMO the public reason for the expulsion only solidifies the BJP's ultra-right wing credentials.

please i need to know about the file sizes allowed for the attachments and if the file size could not be increased how can i post pictures bigger than or approx 1Mb in size?

the main interest to start this thread was to see the culture and beauty or any event from the eye of the member who is posting it. so if you want to post videos they are welcome but rules will be the same, i mean must be made by the member him or herself and it is preferable if the member him/herself is not present in the movie or pics.

everyone go out for recreation and fun and all the members have a camera (video or digital). my guess is whoile going out on these trips most of the times we take our camera with us so why not post some pictures of the place we went to on this forum so that everyone can appreciate what one member has seen.

i still want to know how can i make the pictures smaller in size because th epictures that have are of approx 1Mb size? please can any one answer.

thank you webmaster for the method.

by the way i have started the thread and attached the first picture just for trial and it worked so i used the attachment method for all.

although i have attached the pictures today but due to the the small size (thumbnail) the pictures do not look eye-catching. next time i will try your way.

please if you happen to go by the thread that i started (general images and multimedia, series of pictures/movie of an event/location) and see the pictures, please do send me your advice how to make them look big and more attractive. i ll appreciate it

My advice is to try my method. I have never liked attachments on the forums.
