Pakistan stopped armed support for Kashmiris in the early 2000s. The separatist movement was almost completely gone, and Kashmiris seemed to be content with India.

What the international community used to see was secular peaceful cultured India vs rogue jihadi Pakistan. This was to the extent that they even supported India conducting strikes inside Pakistan.

I know India got the image of slumistan in 2008 (thanks to movie made by Danny Boyle), open defecation capital circa 2010-11 (thanks to Jairam Ramesh) and rape capital (due to 2012 Delhi gang rape). But all that is insignificant because it didn't affect investments. Whereas Pakistan's image of citadel of Islam, the country that sheltered Osama etc scared away investors.

If India is violating a treaty, I am sure there are ways to sort it out. Have the International Tribunals refused to address the issues? If they haven’t then it would be decided fairly. If not then there is no point crying here.
