A heart warming experience with Turkish people

we declare quickly a foreign nation, brother while there is no turk here to say about the same brotherhood..BS imho

turkey and pakistan has never been foreign, maybe you need to study history a bit..

the more you talk the less you do..our friendship doesnt need to be told..all we need is to convince our policy-makers to cooperaion and get concrete results.

there is a great fixation in Ahmet Davutoglu's book named Strategic Depth..he says relations between turkey and pak is nostalgic.he says "when diplomats talk to each other, they always tell the brotherhood between the nations but they actually do nothing, nothing to deepen the relations"

so,no turk and no need to say that we are brothers,in the forums...brothers are brothers..history tells it us,not some forum users..

hope you understand...

^ I agree with you. Thanks for mentioning his excellency FM Davutoglu's kitab "Stratejik Derinlik".

"when diplomats talk to each other, they always tell the brotherhood between the nations but they actually do nothing, nothing to deepen the relations"

For the most part that is true. However, there are some exceptions and that is the Istanbul-Tehran-Islamabad railroad which was ushered last year, connecting Turkiye to Pakistan. I have also read a growing number of Turkish companies investing in Pakistan, Turkish-Pak military ties-upgrading MLU's for Pak F-16's, etc. Not to mention Turk-Pak schools opening up in Pakistan, not sure about the details of those schools.

What do you think about a defense treaty between Turkiye and Pakistan? Surely, true brothers defend one another and look after each other, or is that understanding of "brother" in regards to International Politics a bit far-fetched? In the past nations who didn't even consider each other "brothers" have signed mutual defense treaties. I think both Pakistan and Turkiye should sign a defense treaty, agreeing to the protection of one another. I have read many times, Pakistan ve Turkiye "One nation, two states" well if that's the case mutual defense treaty should be signed.

Pakistan (Lahore) and Turkiye (Istanbul) have roughly 2,500+ miles separating them, the challenge is to how we can overcome the distance and "deepen the relations".

i think it can be signed..but as far as i know that kind of treaties are being signed in hot military atmosphere,i mean when there is a war coming up..

davutoglu's strategy is based on dialogue as you may know,he doesnt want any that kind of polarization in ME,he thinks that its the only way to stabilize ME..and with the stabilization the integration of ME(muslim) countries will be possible..after all,the whole ME(muslims again) will be a common political, economical and military power without harming nation-states sovereignty..he calls it "return of history".

about military relations i care about joint exercises in that sense..because having joint exercises means having military alliance..also in a war time(hope it wont happen) turkey has no choice but standing with pakistan..

hi,

actually i couldnt understand what you dont agree with me on..of course turkey needs pakistan, who said it doesnt...

well, ottomans has passed and it wont come back..thats all i can say..

and about mustafa kemal, lol,i think you dont hang out in turkey defence section in this forum..if you come over you will see the debates on this issue..but dude, even most of the turks dont vote for mustafa kemals party in elections, how come we want you to follow him..all countries has specific dynamics and values and they know what/who to be followed..

and yes our flags are quite similar and thats fantastic..not only these two countries but also tunisia, algeria and even libya(former flag)..those flags based on crescent because of the islamic culture and its nothing to be ashamed of but its to be sth proud of..

We Turks know that Pakistan is our friend and brother both in faith and ideology. When Pakistan cries out for more reform they point at Ataturk as their inspiration and when Turks in the past cry for greater freedoms of religion we looked warmly to Mohammed Ali Jinnah.

We were also shocked to our cores when Benazir Bhutto was assassinated may her soul be at peace, we were hoping she would be Pakistan's Tancu Ciller (our first female pm) and Pakistan's Erdogan (visionary and just leader).

We dont need any forum like defence.pk or turkeydefence.com to express our gratitude we instead do our expression of gratitude and expressions of warm feelings with actions.

My local mosque where I am currently renting in Australia sent to Pakistan AU $20,000 which is almost the equiv of U.S $20,000 and remember this is just a single mosque in a country that has dozens upon dozens of mosques. We also have not forgotten that in the past Pakistan has offered 3 times to Turkey to jointly research and build nukes but since Turkey is in NATO and we are signatories of the NATO nuclear sharing program we kindly declined the offer, but we did not forget since Pakistan trusts us enough to suggest joint research!

We are also friends with India so as to better work out a lasting peace with Pakistan and India, and anyone who is a critic of this dual friendship doesnt know the true horrors of war. Turkey still for example has not forgotten the 30 odd years of constant war we had during the dying years of the Ottoman empire so Turkey does it's best to avert war and work out a peace between Pakistan and India, Serbia and Kosovo, Serbia and Bosnia, Israel (until they betrayed us) and Palestine, Israel and Suriye.

Peace will come to Pakistan and India as future wars will not be fought over land but it will be about clean water access rights and food. Im getting sidetracked here lol but back to the point is that we dont need a forum to express our gratitude and neither does our Pakistan brothers and sisters need a forum to express their gratitude.
