No, it was Prince Muhammad bin Nayef, who's father was Nayef bin Abdulaziz, not the king. Prince bin Nayef is the king's nephew. Prince Mohanned bin Salman, the Minister of Defense, was appointed deputy crown prince.

I applaud both of those appointments but will miss Prince Saud al-Faisal. He was just, is highly intelligent, and a true gentleman.

Prince Saud al-Faisal was the longest serving foreign minister in modern history. Respected by even his worst enemies. His time was up though due to age and sickness. Mainly back problems and Parkinson's disease.

The sons and daughters of the late King Faisal have done a good job overall. Prince Turki al-Faisal is a great politician as well.
