The only ignorant one imo is you my friend for not seeing a risk involved for low flying aircraft against AAA.Also the SA-6 and SA-15 can engage targets as low as 100 meters. I keep looking at that big fat hole to the south and all the defences placed off to the east.

The line that" there are mountains to the south " doesnt cut it. They are what 1400 to 2000m yea sure if i had to walk up it a problem but a nice bump to hide behind for an aircraft.

Why spend a fortune on setting up 3/4 of a defensive ring but leave a big gap along the probable axis of attack?

As far as I remember, Beast of Kandahar was also a stealth and it did fall from the sky.

well the problem with flying at the low altitude is that it's a breath taking
job and not all pilots can maintain that for a long period of time .
the other problem is the speed ,because of the danger of Windshear
you can't increase the speed too much because a small wind at that
speed may result in a small smoking hole on the ground.
If I'm not wrong the record of flying at low altitude belong to F104 with
no External tank or anything and the speed was 998 mile but it could stay
at low altitude for a very short time and the record remain the same since
70's
