A grand Nigar legacy celebration event is all set to take place!
The grand celebration will be held on March 16, 2017.

Following the court cases and all negative speculations governing the very controversial Nigar Awards, a grand Nigar legacy celebration event is set to take place which promises to be exciting and entertaining, with some surprise announcements as well. The grand celebration will be held on March 16, 2017.
Not everyone is happy with the Nigar Awards nomination list released!
Nigar Weekly, the pioneer of Pakistan film’s print media was founded by Mr Ilyas Rasheedi, who also introduced the Nigar Awards in 1957, the only authentic awards of its time whose legacy was carried forward by his son, Mr Aslam Ilyas Rasheedi.
Where Nigar’s mission and vision was always clear - to be transparent, legitimate and entertaining. This year Mr Aslam Ilyas Rasheedi decided to celebrate Nigar Weekly’s 68 years of publication and steadfastness in supporting the film industry, even when it had become practically nonexistent.
Nigar Awards are in trouble again!
When HIP contacted the management, they said,
We want to focus on settling the court matters with the proprietor of Lush Productions, Usama Qazi, first before moving on to organising the award ceremony. The postponement of the awards, however, has come as a decision from the management of Nigar itself rather than any stay order from the Sindh court."
"The management intends to settle all disputes surrounding Nigar before they proceed to the grand event. The legacy of Nigar Awards deserves to be celebrated at a grand scale, devoid of any rumours or negativity governing it," they added.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Aslam Ilyas Rashdi said, “We at Nigar value trust, and believe in continuous improvement for constructive contribution to the film Industry.
