A Day at Delhi Airport

Walking to gate 40 onwards is a pain in the a$$ in spite of the walkalators! I usually manage a golf cart for the journey!!

Here's what I'm talking about...

From what I've heard- the huge size of T3 (and thus long walks) are a result of "future proofing". The T3 has the capacity built into it for operations to be stepped up from it without any major structural changes. It is effectively a terminal and a half or plus one depending on the way you look at it. By 2022-5 the IGI will be handling 100+ million passengers a year and although it will by then have 6 terminals, T3's extra capacity will also play a major part in handling this massive amount of passengers.

It seems the walking and such is unavoidable really.

Everything else is fine but I don't like the carpet.

Love the T3 terminal especially the sports bars. Will be flying into T3 this month. Looking forward to it.

Spot on! You hit the nail on the head! It nice that the designers have factored in the future requirements of the airport, for a change! :agree:
