After that having the audacity to take shots t you...

@WebMaster remind the member the criterion for positive ratings before taking potshots at the veterans of this forum.

It's all right, really.

His advice was well-meaning and I read it as such. What he himself did elsewhere, as your post says, was not known to me; would I have reacted if it was known? Perhaps, perhaps not. Who knows?

As for myself, I hope I never get to the point where I believe I can do no wrong, or cannot be corrected.

Well Col (retd) Ashfaq Hussain named his book "Witness to Blunder" but instead of looking how and where things went wrong lets discuss commando's instinct.

I didn't see any text from the book published in the news item, however, a Pakistani Helicopter intruding 11 Km, landing and taking off, then repeating the same exercise the next day, that too on a sensitive border without even a twitch from Indian side certainly needs introspection and perhaps Indian members should keep this in mind next time they rejoice over the alleged OBL raid. !!!

And as for M. M. Alam, you should make discreet enquiries what his peers and genuine war heroes in the PAF thought of his claims. You can even find those who have been everything short of gone into print on this.

nobody disputed his numbers or for the fact that he downed 5 enemy aircrafts in 60sec and first 3 being in 30 sec.
They just say that it was a duck shoot for him, not a superior tactical display which overwhelmed them enemy like others.
Which i think is a valid point.
It hasnt got anything to do with what yr trying to imply.

Yes thats also pretty correct but he said same thing. Basically there r accounts of many people abt the events. But the most common thing amongst them is what i have mentioned.
