Indian History taught to us in Schools and Colleges is distorted and far from facts ?

I do remember an old Hindi textbook (CBSE) article on Karl Marx. It proudly said that the largest country and the most populous countries (Soviets and China) had adopted Communism and that this was a great triumph and legacy of Marx. Unfortunately by this time Soviet Union had collapsed, so it was anti-climactic. I thought my history textbooks were pretty neutral- except for a slant towards NAM, and anti-Imperialism atc. And a slight bias in favour of Palestinians. I was taught next to nothing about modern Indian history- and this was a big failing.

Mughals were having alliances with Indian tribes and Mughals ruled for about 150 years and after that Mughals were supported by Marathas . Mahadji Scindia intervened, taking possession of Delhi on 2 October, restoring Shah Alam to the throne.

I think including Turkey, the UAE, Indonesia and Malaysia in your categorisation is quite unrealistic.
Well sorry, I have my facts.
Indonesia : Application of sharia law by country - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Indonesia: Muslims call for closure of churches in Sharia province
Bali bombings?

Malaysia: Malaysia's highest court backs a ban on Allah in Christian bibles | World news | The Guardian
Malaysia Shariah Law: Islamist Party Passes Bill To Implement Harsh Islamic Criminal Punishments

Turkey: is on its way to become pakistan soon. It secular military has already been shackled by the the PM.
Civil–military relations during the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan government - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

UAE: its pure unadulterated business thats stopping them from running amock. More ever most of the population is from outside the country.

As for the others, there is a major misunderstanding. I was under the impression that you were speaking about countries with significant Muslim minorities, not about countries with Muslim majorities. I would still challenge your assertion, but on completely different grounds.

Some nutcase has already done the work and collected the stats. Note: I dont agree with fundamentalist views/opinions but I do agree with stats. As I said ppl just wait to reach a critical mass before starting the chain reaction.

Muslim behavior/terrorism correlated with population size | Heaven Awaits

"When politically correct and culturally diverse societies agree to ‘the reasonable’ Muslim demands for their ‘religious rights,’ they also get the other components under the table. Here’s how it works (percentages source CIA: The World Fact Book (2007)).

As long as the Muslim population remains around 1% of any given country they will be regarded as a peace-loving minority and not as a threat to anyone. In fact, they may be featured in articles and films, stereotyped for their colorful uniqueness:

United States — Muslim 1.0%
Australia — Muslim 1.5%
Canada — Muslim 1.9%
China — Muslim 1%-2%
Italy — Muslim 1.5%
Norway — Muslim 1.8%

At 2% and 3% they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs:

Denmark — Muslim 2%
Germany — Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom — Muslim 2.7%
Spain — Muslim 4%
Thailand — Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population.

They will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature it on their shelves — along with threats for failure to comply. (United States ).

France — Muslim 8%
Philippines — Muslim 5%
Sweden — Muslim 5%
Switzerland — Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands — Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad &Tobago — Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islam is not to convert the world but to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims reach 10% of the population, they willincrease lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions ( Paris –car-burnings) . Any non-Muslim action that offends Islam will result in uprisings and threats ( Amsterdam – Mohammed cartoons).

Guyana — Muslim 10%
India — Muslim 13.4%
Israel — Muslim 16%
Kenya — Muslim 10%
Russia — Muslim 10-15%

After reaching 20% expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings and church and synagogue burning:

Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40% you will find widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks and ongoing militia warfare:
Bosnia — Muslim 40%
Chad — Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

From 60% you may expect unfettered persecution of non-believers and other religions, sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels:

Albania — Muslim 70%
Malaysia — Muslim 60.4%
Qatar — Muslim 77.5%
Sudan — Muslim 70%

After 80% expect State run ethnic cleansing and genocide:
Bangladesh — Muslim 83%
Egypt — Muslim 90%
Gaza — Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia — Muslim 86.1%
Iran — Muslim 98%
Iraq — Muslim 97%
Jordan — Muslim 92%
Morocco — Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan — Muslim 97%
Palestine — Muslim 99%
Syria — Muslim 90%
Tajikistan — Muslim 90%
Turkey — Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates — Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace — there’s supposed to be peace because everybody is a Muslim:

Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 99.9%

Of course, that’s not the case. To satisfy their blood lust, Muslims then start killing each other for a variety of reasons.
It is good to remember that in many, many countries, such as France, the Muslim populations are centered around ghettos based on their ethnicity. Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. Therefore, they exercise more power than their national average would indicate.

Only after they lost control of their pets did they become a failed state.

I often get accused of India bashing etc. I also get asked why I do it. Here is the simple reason why. We have two respected Indian members talking about Pakistan as if it is a failed state. This assumption is said almost so nonchalantly as if it is a everyday fact, a fact so accepted and proven like earth is flat.

This is what removes any respect for India or Indian's for me. This is what compels me to show the mirror to the India that you overlook when you dismiss Pakistan in such condescending tones. Granted we have problems. However if you look beyond the rubbish the reality is only the border region next to Afghanistan ( FATA ) is facing instability and even that is the overspill from the Afghan war.

However because Western media covers the Af-Pak region because of it's huge investment in men and material unlike the uncovered Naxalite rebellion in India that nobody in the West gives toss about because no white people are endangered by it. Instead poor Indian die. Just because of the Western alarmist daily headlines you crucify 95% of Pakistan because of 5%. This logic is what drove me to start the threads on beastly rickshaw pullers of India who numbers in the millions, the 100s of millions in utter starvation and 10s of millions sleeping on the streets of India. Whilst all this ugliness might exist in other countries ( although failed Pakistan banned rickshaw pullin in 1949 ) the scale of such suffering in India is on biblical proportions.

What is shocking is your saying these things on a Pakistan forum. Your consigning Pakistan as "failed" is as and if not more of a slur and damned offensive then all the threads I opened on India in regards to poverty, starvation and rickshaw pulling.

Whilst what I stated in those threads were reportage of facts. India has rickshaw pulling as a fact. Maybe one million or maybe two million souls are tethered like beasts but fact is they are there for everybody to see. Despite this the Indian reaction to my thread was like I had vaulted a tree trunk up Mother India's backside.

In comparison with fact this "failed" business is entirely subjective. It's like how trying to conclude how long a piece of string is. The mention of failed and Pakistan came from some dubious groups in Washington who had axe to grind. If Pakistan is failed then the world ought have sirens blaring given the number of nukes ( increasing ) that lie within this so called failed state.

The worse of this is it is fine for you to say such things on Pakistan but any negative facts on India being highlighted invites Indian's wrath and taking the high moral ground.

@Slav Defence You think calling Pakistan failed is acceptable but reporting a known fact - Indian rickshaw pullers was unacceptable and "trolling" and deserved being closed? What it only hurts when the boot is on the other foot?

@rubyjackass I have no idea what bloody fire you are on about. After Jinnah's death despite the enormous challanges Pakistan faced we did way better then India in 1950s, 1960s, 1970s and even 1980s. Only in the 1990s did India gain on Pakistan. Need I show you the cesspit that is India? The so called shining India?

@Atanz

Stop feeling sorry for yourself. And stop feeling sorry for your country. Every day, I get abused - you should read some of the stuff I get - by fellow Indians for 'favouring' Pakistan, when all I have said is that I hope Pakistan does well, and gets rid of its fundos, and that its liberal side gets fair air time, and that I like a number of people who also happen to be Pakistani. And once they finish, people like you start, telling me/us why they hate India, and why they hate Indians. Pakistan is here and it will stay. And it will do well with or without India and with or without Indians. If you thought about it, you wouldn't waste your time explaining this, or justifying it, or criticising those who undermine this.

So all the talk of declassification was just hawaabaazi?

No.

The Bengal Government declassified a lot of files. They showed that the family had been under surveillance for decades. Everybody is asking the Central Government to declassify the Centre's own files as well, as they are likely to have more detailed information and more international input.

Turkey: is on its way to become pakistan soon.

That's bad news for Turks but at least they are not on their way to becoming India or all Turks would be jumping into the Aegean then eke a living like this Indian below. @xenon54 You feel like a career change? At least you won't have to book into the gym to do your workout.

And I don't want any bloody sanctimonous lecture on appropriate behaviour. When you diss 195 million people as "failed" this is what you get back. A just reminder of how exactly you are shining in India.

Muslims elite exploited him or not. I am great full to him for Pakistan.
We dont have to live under extremist hindus.they cannot dictate us what to eat or what to not.hindus cannot force us for ghar wapsi like crap.they cannot threat us that they finish or

And thank Quid e Azam Mohammod Ali Jinah.

The last time the general situation in Turkey was comparable to todays India was in WWI so if anything then its not Turks that need a lecturing from Indians but more like the other way around.

Well the day you go out to work in Istanbul and you see this sight ( below ) down Istiklal Caddesi you know Turkey has arrived in India.

Your "Shining like India".
Bro i have deleted the part where im targeting India, im really not into flame war, the only reason Indians are hostile to Turks is the bond between Pakistan and Turkey which has absolutely nothing to do with India, otherwise no Turk cares about India or its internal problems and certainly dont need a lecturing from them as the things stand today.

I know my friend, I know. I don't think there is any country other then Turkey which has almost across the political spectrum 100% support in Pakistan. I also know Turkey is heading to first world status. All the best. Even back in 1930s Pakistan national poet Sir Allama Iqbal on visit to Turkey was impressed as a beacon of light to other Muslim countries.
