why does Hollywood make so many zombie films ?

Romero style zombies seem a rarity in big budget films these days, it's all running zombies. Then again I don't keep up on whats out so I could have very well missed one.

Also there's a real lack of zombie games (not mods thankfully) that take themselves seriously (aside from the Resident Evil series, but that's moved into mutants and parasites rather than zombies. That's why i'm waiting for the release of Dead State and/or Dead Island.
