98 Hindus killed, 357 injured in 2016 in Bangladesh, says Report

According to a report made by Bangladesh Jatiya Hindu Mohajote (BJHM), at least 98 people from the Hindu community have been murdered and 357 others injured across the country till December 29 this year.

Revealing the report at a press conference held in Dhaka Reporters' Unity on Friday, BJHM Executive President Sukrtity Mandal said the report was prepared based on reports published in different newspapers and their community sources, reports the Dhaka Tribune.

The BJHM president also said that around 711 people either left the country or were threatened to leave the country, while 209 idols were damaged and 22 others were stolen.

He further said that 22 people of their community have also been missing while 38 people were kidnapped and eight others are in jail.

According to United News of Bangladesh (UNB), 1,109 Hindus received death threat and attempts were made to kill 18 others during the said period.

Highly doubtful reports by a communal organization intent to tarnish our countries image. Some Hindu have died but that number at best around 5-10 .most of them died in political violence after election because of feud in local ruling party not related to communal violence. Hardly Any Hindu are harm for communal reason most violence are either political or economical.
Before making fuse about this near nonexistent ""threat "" they need to look how Muslim are facing Hindu communal attack in India. 99.9% Muslim in Bangladesh not feel/threat any Hindu neighbor as Hindu .

I do not want to debate you but trumpeting a falsehood countless times cannot make it a truth.

Only in Bangladesh do you see a majority populace (secular educated Muslim folks) protest vandalizing of Hindu temples and ask forgiveness as a nation for these atrocities. This happened as a result of vandalizing temple property and 'protima' at Nasirnagar by simple goondas and hardly one Hindu was even killed there. Yet thousands of Muslims (even students and govt. employees in Dhaka) took to the streets in protest. The picture below shows area Muslims asking for forgiveness from Hindus for this atrocity.

Such are Bangladeshi standards for protecting the rights of our minorities. This is what a population does which prides itself on values of humanity, righteousness and civility.

What number of Hindus stood up against Kashmiri atrocities against Muslims and excesses by the Indian soldiers themselves or for the communal train-burning atrocities in Gujarat? Not that many.....their protest was limited to writing a few meek diluted op-ed columns.

Our standards are on a whole other level.....
