Beijing subway's planning and construction is indeed very impressive.

BTW a ride on Beijing subway is dirt cheap, probably the second cheapest after Mexico city in the world.


Do you by chance have the official expansion plan of Delhi metro? I am very interested in reading that. The connection lines, if included in Delhi metro, probably have already been counted, but I need more information on that.

Such info are not included in the official Website,and no..the Gurgaon metro is not a part of Delhi metro,neither is RRTS

you can plan for a milion miles of the subway length.drawing maps are cheap,let's talking about the existing lines and those new ones which are almost finished and soon to be openned.3 new subway lines will be added to Beijing's already massive subway system by the end of this year.

It is estimated that by the year 2015, Beijing will have 19 fully operating subway lines, with a combined length of 561km. The total subway length is even expected to increase to 1,000 km by 2020, as stated by the Beijing Metro Company.

Very impressive!Beijing Metro is very cheap, because the bureau of finance grants 2 billion USD's financial aid every year to Beijing Metro. One ticket is just 31 cents USD, no time and km limits...

where did I say that it didn't? i was talking about that people should compare the existing ones rather than how many they planned.at least read and understand before spweing bs.

The 1,200 kilometer Etihad Rail network will extend across the desert hinterland of the United Arab Emirates, from the border of Saudi Arabia in the west to the frontiers of Oman in the east.
Costing $11 billion and taking in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and all of the Northern Emirates, developers hope the freight and passenger project will eventually join up with an international rail network covering Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar.

If only our ministers know how to use the internet efficiently and they see this and cry in shame if they have any shame (which i doubt). We got the railway infrastructure in running condition from the British and what did we do with it?

Time has come that we need to learn from the UAE on how to run railways and invest in them in the right way at the right time along with learning from UAE's first budget airline (Air Arabia) on how to run the national airline (PIA) airline and how to invest in infrastructure and many other sectors.

The OP itself is a wrong comparison,Beijing capital airport should not be there,it can barely make top 10 list of Beijing's most spectacular infrastructure.let alone the world,that's why Beijing is building another airport which will be much larger than that one.
