At least eight civilians, including two children, have been killed in two bomb attacks in Afghanistan, officials say.
In northern Balkh Province a suicide bomber killed three civilians when he detonated explosives on a bicycle in the main market of the town of Chahar Bolak, police said.
Local reports said he was apparently targeting a police patrol.
Earlier, five people died in Wardak in central Afghanistan when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb.
