Today is the 75th anniversary of the Royal Indian Navy mutiny. A forgotten chapter in both Indian & Pakistani History books.
On February 18th 1946, over 20000 Indian sailors rose against the British Empire. Do remember those brave freedom fighters.

Mutiny in RIN and air force is the reason why Brits were forced to quit India as per some experts and historians.

INA and this mutiny was the two main reason British granted us Independence so soon after the war when Britain realized they could no longer count on their Indian troops to keep the stranglehold over the subcontinent. Else we would have been a British colony for a few more decades and would have won independence only after a destructive conflict. Britain was badly damaged during the war particularly by the Luftwaffe bombings, and they needed resources from other parts of the world to rebuild their country and guess where they would have gone to extract (steal) money and materials needed for that.
