74 Andhra lawmakers quit over Telangana issue

My only source of first hand knowledge about the Telegana Issue is from a Telegana friend of mine. His supports a separate Telegana state as he feels that Andhraites dominate the economy of Telegana leaving very little to the natives of Telagana. He accuses Andharites of whisking away resources from Telegana and keeping it backward so as to build Coastal Andhra. Finally he concludes the main reason for Andhraites dead against Telegana is because they don't want to lose their business interests in Hydeabad, as this city will become the new capital of Telegana State.

I don't know how much of the above is true. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

Obviously it is very one sided. Yes coastal people are dead against giving up Hyderabad. Its because they used all their talents, resources in developing the city of Hyderabad. And now why should anyone give it all up. Why not ask your friend whether he would be okay to accept Telangana without Hyderabad. If he is not why would they? What resources is he talking about? Only major city in Andhra is Hyderabad and you know where it is, in Telangana.

Loose business interests? Its their livelihood. Would you be okay to give up all you earned through hard work over the years just because someone whined injustice? Isn't taking all of that away from these people constitute injustice too.

Hope you guys find a solution to this problem fast. Shutting down Hyderabad is not only bad for AP but for whole India due to the various knowledge based industries based there. Also I don't think there is any other state where people who share the same language and culture are demanding a separate state.

Because, investments have been made by Andhraites. All their property is in Hyderabad. Hyderabad is a cosmo-politan city. And the sentiment is not there in Hyderabad. There is ZERO support for Telangana in Hyderabad. The MP of Hyd is against separate state. Several greater Hyd ministers and MLAs refused to quit and all the bandhs which are being called for are with the support of people from telangana.. No hyderabadi supports saperate state.

Many fear Hyderabad going to Telangana would means the city could lose business to Bangalore and Chennai. Second, 50% of the city population consists of Muslims and they are there since Nizam's times. They don't want to be a part of Telangana because BJP is strong in Telangana. Third, the Andhrarites have invested billions of dollars into real estate, businesses and industries. They fear about their investments. Then there is naxal problem and there lot of other issues

Hayderabad is part of Telangana and indeed Andhraties wont support Telangana because they are Non-Telangana people . And as far as MPs and other officials well by last year maximum number of CMs were from Andhra so they will support their own people and not people of Telangana

The Muslims of Hayderabad also did NOT to be part of India but you by using force included them into India so dont give us the emotional scene here.
