Two herders who were looking from lost sheep got taken hostage by them but were able to escape and report their whereabouts to the police. The policemen arrived on the scene asap and fired warning shots. The criminals ignored them and proceeded to attack the policemen with knives. One policeman was killed and the other was seriously injured. The police opened fire as a last resort.
